Is Tracker being maintained any more? Can we ever expect a Java 7 compatible version?

Yes, it is still being maintained. We haven't made a release in over a year, but we're still making changes.

Java 7 is more problematic, since apparently there are issues with the pwsdll.dll file, which is Java 6-specific.

Any chance of a MySQL version? [:'(]

Late game load times are excruciating!

Agreed. I was looking at ways to speed things up, but alas, life has interceded... Some day, hopefully.

Hello,

I played a bit the game a couple of year ago, and want to start more seriously now.

At the tile I used WitP Staff + Tracker.
I have read Staff is no more supported, and therefore loaded the latest version of Tracker.

Now, I have a very silly issue : Tracker says is doesn't find the WitP rep...

At first I thought it was due to the fact that in the path there was a "e" with an accent (I am bloody french guy and for some reasons I can't really change this path).
Then, I created an "alias" to replace part of the path with a drive letter... Didn't work better.

Then, I tried to move the game to a rep with a path without any accent at all... still not working...

Maybe there is something very stupid..but I can't find the solution...

Did anybody already face such issue or do I really need to challenge my ability to write down a path correctly ?

For the first turn, there typically is no sigint file available, so you can ignore that warning. If you get it on the second or subsequent loaded turn, then it's an issue.

I mentioned this before, but one work around is to restart a 'new' tracker database every 100 days or so. And so you don't lose those long run 'trends' that can be important, keep another tracker folder and only load turns on the 1st and 15th of each month. 24 turns a year means it will hold the full game without getting super slow load times.

Jones944 -> RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.9.2 Available! (10/23/2014 4:27:00 AM)

I use the following heap size options: -Xms384m -Xmx768m

For your other issues, looks like you'll need to delete all of your trackerdb.* files in the Tracker installation directory. You'll need to re-initialise Tracker with your game and will lose all previous turn data, though.

witpqs -> RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.9.2 Available! (10/23/2014 4:32:04 PM)

After you get that straightened out, make sure have the right dll in the Tracker folder (are you running the AE Beta?).

MAARTENR -> RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.9.2 Available! (10/23/2014 4:55:14 PM)

I have no idea what you are talking about. It doesn't matter what scenario or what point you are at in the game.

Are you using the AE Beta? Or are you using the latest formal release? If you are using the Beta, then you must copy the .dll from the Beta folder into the Tracker folder.

MAARTENR -> RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.9.2 Available! (10/23/2014 5:16:31 PM)

sorry its scenario 65.

This one does not look so good. Notice the two differences.

1) This one will enable the 'map' function, which uses whole lot more memory (which is why they made the 'nomap' option).

2) It is calling for whatever version of Java is formally installed on the system. Most likely, that is some version of Java 7 (or even java 8). What you need - must have - for Tracker is 32-bit Java 6. Notice that the other one explicitly goes and looks for Java 6 (notice the ...\jre6\...) in the 32-bit programs area ("Program Files (x86)").

Have you put 32-bit Java on that computer? If not, there are plenty of instructions in previous posts, including recently.

Something is messed up with the database, it appears.

Try to move the trackerdb files to a different folder and see if it will start with a "clean" database. Then we can try to piece things back together. Email me at witptracker@gmail.com, so we don't extend this thread with your specific problem.
