DaveConn -> RE: GoingAgain1792 (12/10/2009 6:11:48 PM)

Regardless of when I get all the turns, I will wait until tomorrow morning (Pacific time) to process Turn 8, unless I hear otherwise. If we need to "back up in time", I have all the requisite saves to do it.

HiHi

Sweden T8 sent in.

All the Best
Peter

evwalt -> RE: GoingAgain1792 (12/10/2009 9:46:29 PM)

I would propose we DELAY (shouldn't be more than a day or two) any processing of turn 8 until we get an answer one way or the other about the possible problem.

If a bug, right now there is an easy fix (Sweden simply rejects the treaty last turn and no "new Poland.") If WAD, we can go ahead.

I simply propose a short delay because right now, nothing major appears to be going on. If we proceed and something happens, disaster, war, etc., then going back could change things radically.

If something major has/is happening that I can't see, someone sound off so we know the situation.

DaveConn -> RE: GoingAgain1792 (12/11/2009 4:35:43 PM)

Apologies: I just sent out turn 9, before I saw the message above. Everyone can feel free to ignore the turn. From my first examination, it didn't look like anything major happened anyway.

Kingmaker -> RE: GoingAgain1792 (12/11/2009 6:36:15 PM)

HiHi

Errr, sort of major (ish), at least from Swedens perspective, all those Polish units that last turn were Swedish Army/Militia have now dissapeared.

As the prime object behind Sweden going for protectorate rights over Poland is to secure that Polish army it now all seems to be a waste of time, I'm now left with the feeling that it would have been much better in the long run to have not done the partition bit and just gone to war with everybody! Ho Hum.

All the Best
Peter

DaveConn -> RE: GoingAgain1792 (12/11/2009 7:51:06 PM)

Poland is so far away from Spain! Who cares what is happening there? (Plus, I can't see it; sorry!)

Kingmaker -> RE: GoingAgain1792 (12/11/2009 8:09:55 PM)

HiHi

No offence taken Dave. [:)]

Personal opinion but I think we may as well just plough ahead with the game, I doubt the issue over Polands army will get resolved soon (ish), Tough titty for me, but lets keep the game rolling.

All the Best
Peter

Kingmaker -> RE: GoingAgain1792 (12/16/2009 9:56:55 AM)

HiHi

Sorry folks this may not be a quick turn, I’m at work for 2 nights starting tonight and have one hell of a lot of RL stuff to sort as well, and what had gone down with Sweden/Denmark/Prussia needs some explaining!

From other games and Forum Chat it has always been my understanding that a Minor power will not ask for Protectorate status if its proposed protector cannot freely go to war on its behalf (+ an army of 40,000 or more within 4 provinces), with Prussia & Sweden having an ‘Enforced peace’ between them, that from my experience in other games precludes Prussia forming a protectorate with Denmark; there’s loads more but I just don’t have the time at the moment to see to it, so apologies, will deal with it as and when I can, i.e. it needs some Dev/Beta tester/Experienced player input.

All the Best
Peter

timurlain -> RE: GoingAgain1792 (12/16/2009 8:02:38 PM)

Austrian turn in, but I can understand the Swedish worries.

Kingmaker -> RE: GoingAgain1792 (12/16/2009 9:47:38 PM)

HiHi

I have posted a quiry re Prussia/Denmark protectorate 'Another Devs ... etc' on the Main Board.

But on reflection there seems Bog all I can do about it anyway, so, in order not to slow up the game I have submitted Swedens T11 anyway.

Looks like Sweden is in for a rough game [:(]

All the Best
Peter

evwalt -> RE: GoingAgain1792 (12/16/2009 10:04:36 PM)

I posted an answer on that thread but I have seen almost everything before in one game or the other (except the diplomat cutting supply--that doesn't sound right).

I think the confusion is that supporting a minor is NOT considered a declaration of war by Prussia. The only DoW has been by Sweden on Denmark.

I had wondered why you declared war on Denmark. [X(]
