Iron Duke -> Air comcat graphics (10/25/2009 10:07:51 AM)

How are the mg/cannon fire on the air combat screens asigned to their respective aircraft i.e firing from the wings or firing from the nose?

Noticed that in the game the P-38 E's and F's fire from their prop hubs.Any way the modder can change this?

Good question.. I'd like to know the same thing (without having to figuring it out myself!)

Bear in mind that, obviously, as the newest poster on these boards, I'm hardly a developer. But from the futzing around I've done in the Editor thus far, it looks like the "Facing" of the primary weapon (Wpn 1) determines the location of the "muzzle flash", as it were - the machine-gun firing animation. I could be very, very wrong, but that's what it looks like - 'Centre-line' being a 'firing from the hub' animation, 'Front' being a 'firing from the wings' animation.
Again! Just a guess, just an idea, but try changing it and see what happens. (And back up all your files first, of course.)

I believe the offsets are hardcoded in the exe.  Not possible to mod them.
