Hello Mr. Wilkerson, i applied the hotfix after patch 2 and then the AM skip appeared. never seen that before. very intresting what you said. you got any clue or a fix ? thank you. ( I am willing to test any new release of course)

Well until we release another patch - you could try doing a reinstall. Though I've never seen a proven case where install sequence mattered - I can't rule out an install squence issue.

So try reinstalling 1079 (the original media) to a new folder. The apply comprehensive patch 1095 - then drop in 1096a exe file. You can bring over your saves from your other folders. But it is possible that doing a rebuild might help - I'd be curious if it did.

I will do it tomorrow (it is late here already) and report.

thank you

There must be another hotfix in the works, right?

Actually this issue has already been found and fixed - though what is interesting/strange is that it looks like this is not at all a new issue - might have been there since day one.

By day one, do you mean since the original release of WITP?

Falken -> RE: AI skipping Air AM phase? (12/23/2009 4:36:26 AM)

I"ve been having the same problem since the Hotfix.

I've continuously updated my AE version from the early Beta, to Patch 1, to Beta 2, etc... I've just tried jwilkerson's idea of re-installing. Although I didn't think it would help, I tried it anyway. I've played a few turns since the re-install, and the problem seems to have gone away for now. So basically, I de-installed, rebooted, installed Game, then 1095 Patch, and 1096A.

I'll keep playing a few more turns today and tomorrow. Will see if it fixes it permanentaly, or if i've only been lucky. But, so far so good.

Yank -> RE: AI skipping Air AM phase? (12/23/2009 1:23:56 PM)

Thanks Falken - let us know how it goes. Has anybody confirmed the problem occurs in AI games only?

I am going to try the the suggested reinstall on my second (non-pbem) computer and I will report back also.

Oliver Heindorf -> RE: AI skipping Air AM phase? (12/23/2009 1:52:13 PM)

re-installed it on my laptop this morning but I had no time to test it. Will do the test tomorrow (AI game, started under 1084e) and report here.

Tested with a re-install and used the save I attached to post# 5 which has the skipped AM phase in the next turn, no change - it still skipped it.
Guess we have to wait for the patch.

Did hotfix #2 fix this?
Have no time to try, just played PBEM.

Hotfix 1096e does address this.
