OOOooooops sorry about that. So um.....try it now. I uploaded the pig again.

Here's the Axis turn 6 losses chart:

Da_Huge_D -> Turn 6 (1/9/2010 8:51:43 PM)

Okay, so here's some shots from Leningrad front.
Narva's line (Only NKVD & separate naval brigades & Front's units defending there):

Da_Huge_D -> RE: Turn 6 (1/10/2010 8:46:54 AM)

Here's line between the lakes:

larryfulkerson -> RE: Turn 7 (1/11/2010 12:23:01 PM)

Okie dokie....turn 7 is finished.  I mopped up the Riga area, bumped into the first Smolensk defensive line, isolated part of the Stalin Line and gained some bridges across the river that separates Bessarabia from Odessa territory.  Turn 7's AAR can be found here:  http://www.filedropper.com/dahdturn7

larryfulkerson -> RE: Turn 8 (1/14/2010 9:06:28 AM)

Well, Axis turn 8 is finished.  I vaporized part of the Stalin Line and not much else this turn.  I find that my moving and attacking is being hampered by low supply levels on some parts of the map.  Turn 8's AAR can be found here:
http://www.filedropper.com/dahdturn8

Da_Huge_D -> RE: Turn 8 (1/14/2010 10:06:19 AM)

Turn 8 done. As excepted, Stalin-line's end is near, whole line is encircled and only 1/3 its units left.
Here's shot form northern part:

And shot from southern part:

Da_Huge_D -> Overall-Situation Turn 8 (1/14/2010 10:30:19 AM)

One more picture, here's the overall situation, its marked as showing my current main-line and my future-development line [8D]

mike1984 -> Encirclements (1/14/2010 1:55:33 PM)

So, how's that Stalin Line doin'? I believe someone said it would, what was it, "evaporate faster than a drop of water on hot blacktop."

Oh yeah, it was me.

Stalin-line's purpose isnt to stop Axis. Its just pre-line and will slow down advancing.

larryfulkerson -> FITE Da_Huge_D vs Fulkerson T9 (1/15/2010 12:07:42 AM)

I was going to post a picture of the entire front lines but Dave has already done that. Quite well I might add. Anyway, I'm moving my units during round 1 and I'm about 30% through moving my stuff and every once in a while I'll get interdicted and my dude keeps moving and the Soviet planes get shot down. Here's how the air war is going currently:

larryfulkerson -> RE: FITE Da_Huge_D vs Fulkerson T9 (1/15/2010 2:39:51 PM)

I'd be curious to know what the Soviet losses are right about now.

Da_Huge_D -> RE: FITE Da_Huge_D vs Fulkerson T9 (1/15/2010 8:54:07 PM)

As you wish mr. Fulkerson. Losses after T8 (aircrafts included too):

larryfulkerson -> FITE T9 (1/15/2010 11:50:21 PM)

Here Dave: I blew it up twice as big and removed the 'zero losses' columns and switched to a GIF format and the file is smaller but more readable. You're welcome.

larryfulkerson -> RE: FITE T9 (1/16/2010 1:16:07 AM)

Here's a teaser from my AAR: This is Axis turn 9 round 2, the situation near Odessa. Anybody else see the soft spot in Dave's defensive line around Odessa? I'm going to have to really hustle to take advantage of it though.

EDIT: the soft spot was spotted by Dave and corrected so I guess I can reveal what I was thinking now. I deemed the pontoon unit to the east of Odessa the soft spot since I might be able to push him back easier than doing a lot of frontal attacks on his defensive lines. He's since moved some infantry down there to replace / reinforce that pontoon unit so I guess I'll have to go to plan B now.

larryfulkerson -> RE: FITE T9 (1/16/2010 6:50:11 AM)

Well, Axis turn 9 is finished.  I did some more mop up at the Stalin Line....one more turn should do it I think.  Moved more to the NorthEast and SouthEast and extended my front lines further outward from Berlin.  Fought my way across the river near Odessa and cleared the road to same.  Maybe more supply will get through there now.  I haven't decided which is my next objective.  My choises are Odessa, Kiev, Smolensk, Leningrad, etc.  Maybe I should go for the gold and try all of them at the same time?  Nah.  Turn 9's AAR can be found here:

http://www.filedropper.com/dahdturn9

larryfulkerson -> RE: FITE T9 (1/16/2010 3:35:54 PM)

Here's the front lines as of the beginning of Axis turn 10: The E's and R's are me trying to get more organized. The E's are the pioneer engineers and the R's are the railroad engineers. I have a boat load of broken bridges in the southeast of Kiev area that need to be repaired and there's lots of cross river assaults that are going to need engineers and there's at least three times the broken rail hexes as the railroad engineers that I have that need to be repaired ASAP and so I felt I needed to know where everybody was to be able to direct them to the correct spot. And of course everybody is not in the correct spot yet.

Oooops......try it now....I reset the file server's properties for this file to 'public' instead of 'private' and so it should work now.

larryfulkerson -> FITE T10 (1/18/2010 3:02:21 PM)

Anybody know why the range circles for the aircraft only show up on the mini map? The large circles to the west of Kiev are my RR arty and they show up fine.

larryfulkerson -> RE: FITE T10 (1/18/2010 10:53:58 PM)

Okie Dokie.......Axis turn 10 is finally finished.  I lost about 1100 HRS squads this turn trying to gain a hex or two.  Wow, Dave has really good defensive lines and it shows.  The Stalin Line remnants are down to a single hex and I'm joined in the battle for Leningrad and Smolensk and Odessa all at the same time.  The turn 10 AAR can be found here:

http://www.filedropper.com/dahdturn10

larryfulkerson -> RE: FITE T10 (1/18/2010 11:11:26 PM)

Here's the mini-map moves movie from turns 1 through 10:

larryfulkerson -> RE: FITE T10 (1/18/2010 11:28:21 PM)

I tried to keep track of which Soviet ground unit had arty support by building a picture of the positions of the units and labeling them.  So all the labeled units in the picture are those I have attacked at least once either via ground units or aircraft or ship.  Um.....the picture doesn't tell me which arty tubes are active and which are inactive ( entrenched or unentrenched ) so I need another way to keep track of that.  Maybe a colored circle around the arty unit, red for active and green for inactive.  It's either that or keep written notes and I'm sure you guys know how labor intensive that would be.  Anyway, here's the list of units that I attacked in Axis turn 10 and where they are:

larryfulkerson -> RE: FITE T10 (1/19/2010 6:52:29 AM)

Here's a picture I put together to try to get better organized. It's mostly self explainatory. Post your questions here if you have any.

larryfulkerson -> RE: FITE T10 (1/19/2010 7:06:55 AM)

I've noticed from previous FITE games that when a unit reconstitutes it has the same supply level that the unit had when it's killed so it sort of pays the Axis player to 'drain' a Soviet unit if possible before killing it. So I've been thinking of surrounding the Stalin Line remnants with some tired troops and go on with the war, occasionally bombarding the remnants with arty to drain them as much as possible. That way when they reconstitute they won't be combat worthy for at least several turns of rest. Just a thought.

Da_Huge_D -> RE: FITE T10 (1/19/2010 8:51:03 AM)

10th turn done now too.
At first, i had to retreat to better positions behind Narva river, because my old line there was way too weak and danger of being encircled:

Da_Huge_D -> RE: FITE T10 (1/19/2010 9:00:52 AM)

Here's the line between the lakes, Leningrad's main defense:

Da_Huge_D -> RE: FITE T10 (1/19/2010 9:08:13 AM)

Line around Kiev is almost built, and ready for action:

Da_Huge_D -> RE: FITE T10 (1/19/2010 9:13:04 AM)

Line around Coast; southern front. Still under construction:

Da_Huge_D -> RE: FITE T10 (1/19/2010 9:20:26 AM)

And Odessa's situation, if Fulkerson attemp breakthrough and things start to go bad, will retreat to 'Panic' line. Its kind of "Last stand" line:
