Jadpanther -> where do i sign up (7/13/2002 12:48:10 AM)

where do I sign up for the tourney.....

red -> (7/13/2002 12:58:31 AM)

you just joined.

need to find you a match. AFAIK there's not anybody free right now. Tanker do you concur?

TimeTanker -> He has a match... (7/13/2002 1:04:05 AM)

M4Jess is not playing and Radboy needs an opponent. I will patch Jagpanther in Jess's place.

Jagpanther M4Jess was slotted to play in Group B. Which was made up of smaller or minor countries. Your opponent will be Radboy223 and he has chosen to play as the french.

Choose any of the smaller countries and follow the basic rules of: 4K bps, medium map, and 20 turns. After that every thing is negotiable between the two players.

Good LucK!

rbrunsman (Nationalist Spain) vs Curieus (The Netherlands)

kilroynj(US) vs Hakkarainen(Finland)

Ok, here are the changes to the lineup.

Both, Viking2 and Rokondo's opponents have not responded to repeated entreaties by the two above players. So I have paired Viking2 against Rokondo. You guys check what countries I have you listed as playing and make any changes you want.

Hades is now posted with Big Bill. Bill please notify me as to what country you are going to play as. Hades was playing as Italy in a match against Finland. If you decide that staying finland is ok with you just leave it and get your show on the road.

And, to answer you Radboy223; yes that should have been 20 turns.

Good hunting and TALLEYHO!!

:D :D

TimeTanker -> BTW.... (7/15/2002 5:31:27 AM)

Jadpanther could you respond with your choice of country?

G_X -> (7/15/2002 7:48:42 AM)

I appologize, I've been having problems with my ISP and E-mail lately, as well as my World at War, now that I've gotten WaW stable again, it appears my E-mail is down...I seem to be having far too many problems, and I now have a bit too many commitments, I'm afraid I'll have to pull out, I don't think I can keep committed to a WC tourney, Banditjim goes on uncontested I suppose. Sorry guys, I really all, I hope by next time that I'll be able to play.

Big Bill -> (7/15/2002 8:37:59 AM)

I never played the Finnish side but I'll give it a try, Do they have guns??;)

radboy223 -> (7/15/2002 12:19:43 PM)

Guess I'll have to sit it out too, since nobody seems able to play me. :(

VikingNo2 -> (7/15/2002 2:28:03 PM)

Ok now I have a problem RobW contacted me and is willing to play, I am going to start the game with him me Canada, him ANZAC. I belive there is a player waiting so matching him up shouldn't be a problem. If this will not work for you ( TT ) then post and advise.

RobW -> (7/15/2002 3:04:42 PM)

looks like I must apologise - I responded to Viking2 on Firday last week but it seems that technology let me down. If it is a problem to go back to the original pairing let me know - he has mailed me twice today so I guess we will stick to the groups as they were last week!
RobW

Rokondo -> To TimeTanker (7/15/2002 4:31:01 PM)

I play with Jadpanther .
Red give us the match (you can see what i write before)
Jadpanther take Germany & Me I take US
We now in turn 2 of the game.

Gary Tatro -> Ran into a technical difficulty (7/15/2002 8:36:35 PM)

I have been playing RED in our first World Cup round and we have been having a great time. But with the last send I sent him he got the "saved game failed to load" Now I am going to rezip and resend but this ussually never works. So the question is what do we do. Do I replay my turn (doesn't seem fair). Do I replay my turn and purposely try to get the same type of results(easier said then done)? Do I replay my turn and pull back so that no combat is initiated? I don't know.

Oxtane -> (7/15/2002 8:52:44 PM)

IMHO would have to say replay the turn and try to achieve the same results. Do not "search" out any new areas on the second go and follow the pattern of play from the first turn.

VikingNo2 -> (7/15/2002 10:24:11 PM)

Before you Zip the files check them to see if they have the sam time stamp, 3 of them should if they don't it will not load, it happens to me every once in a while, there is a post on it from one of the "SPWAW GODs"

Goblin -> (7/16/2002 12:22:47 AM)

When that happens, I generally let my opponent do the turn over, trusting to his honesty. Belisarius did twice, once with slightly better results, once with much worse, so its pretty fair.

Curieus -> Backup (7/16/2002 3:44:28 AM)

What i usually do is that, just before closing (next turn) i save the game*. and copy those files to a backup directory. Then i restart the game do a final walkover to see if i forgot something and presss next turn (and see my artillery shoot where i did not tell them :rolleyes: ) This way if something is wrong i have an almost finished turn waiting to recuperate. *How do you save an PBEM game? Simple, just press exit game (the button with the up arrow, above the "next turn" button).

3/2 ACR -> Battle (7/16/2002 4:01:17 AM)

Ok Goblin I am ready
is there a way we can fix the american 0.1 ARTY advantage?
and what about any other limitations you might want
