I am just glad I lived long enough to see something like AE. Sure beats playing Avalon Hills Stalingrad, alone, playing both sides, using pretzel sticks to plot my german advances.
Or PBM Afrika Corp, listing stocks--so that their daily trading volume could be converted to a die roll.
My hope is that before I am completely gone, we will have visors that let me feel as though I am walking ashore after the liberation of the Phillipines, or am in a 3-D replica of a Patton command center.
[Of course...my lady friend will then have her visor which will have her walking on the beach with a young George Clooney.]
Anyone see my transistor radio? How about that attachment we use for the record player so we can play 45s instead of albums? Hope it's not so cold outside that I have to put a stick in my carburator again to get the car started. Oh...guys...I need to go....I don't think my parents are going to let me stay up late enough to watch Carson.
