Good morning, Erik

some news about a patch for widescreen resolutions? Can we hope in something or in your help?
Thanks in advance

Nebogipfel -> RE: Resolution question (6/1/2010 2:41:38 PM)

Has anyone promised a patch? [:)]

I thought, the engine couldnīt be patched (in that case), I hope Iīm wrong.

benpark -> RE: Resolution question (6/20/2010 2:55:36 AM)

I would at least like the option to "fit to screen" so I don't feel like I'm looking at the game through a tunnel. Wide screen resolution support is now a must for my future game purchases. The old eyes can't strain like they used to be able to.

willgamer -> RE: Resolution question (10/9/2010 3:49:22 PM)

This is really ironic for me... I've just put away Civ V (to await perhaps about a year for patches).

Then I rediscover BIN and load it onto my new Win 7, 24" widescreen.

Hurray! It works... played Omaha Beach... what fun!... but it's so hard on my old eyes without mouse wheel zoom [:(]

So I come over here to buy the latest incarnation of the series that is up to date... I read this thread... tragedy strikes!!! [:(]

Gahhhh! Won't play the empty suit; can't play the best turn based operation war game without a literal headache; Nuts [:(]

I wish someone would point out to me where in the crappy nvidia control panel this magic tick box is:

Actually, it's under the Adjust Desktop size and position section...

pvthudson01 -> RE: Resolution question (1/12/2011 9:53:17 PM)

Ok weird, I dont have that option. Must be because of Windows 7 64 bit

McGlu -> RE: Resolution question (1/14/2011 5:06:48 AM)

Perhaps it has something to do with your monitor specs or your card series?

My screenshot above was taken on a Windows 7 64-bit laptop with a GeForce 8700M GT. Also, it's running the latest version of the nVidia drivers for the card. Might want to double check that you have the latest drivers from nVidia.

pvthudson01 -> RE: Resolution question (1/14/2011 5:56:00 AM)

It may be my video card is a 450 GTS and I think nvidia took that away with that series of drivers. I am up to date yeah

e_barkmann -> RE: Resolution question (1/16/2011 5:25:58 AM)

I read somewhere that scaling options are not available if you run your monitor via HDMI - certainly for me, since upgrading my system, I have not been able to find fixed aspect panel scaling options in win7. That sucks.
