Koontz,

Thank you very much for posting and your good wishes.

Isoroku Yamamoto have performed very good like 11st Air Fleet CINC. All my coordination problems dissapears (someday not at all -but weather was compromised-). More aircrafts were ready to take off and more interbase coordination too!.

He was ready at Home awaiting the end of the drydock´s work on HIJMS KAGA to be ahead of the 1st Striking Force in the counterstrike at Guadalcanal Island.

I will not advance eastwards after a succesufull counterstrike. All my resources will be compromised in fortify my southern perimeter. My naval politic is fight only under the umbrella of LBA. I´ll not fight under enemy´s LBA range. He needs fo fight forward and I will stand on with IJN Mobile Force like rearguard to support counterstrikes.

Best wishes
Ramón

you seem to be much better prepared then the japanese in real life since you have at least 1 air base between rabaul and guadalcanal (munda) to start strikes at a much closer range then the japanese did in the real guadalcanal campaign. congratulation for the counter attack so far. let the anglo american aggressors bleed.:)

Thanks bigbaba, Agree, It was my primary target at Solomons : To get a great airbase near Guadalcanal heavily fortified : Munda is a size 5 AF and fortified at level 5. An AIR HQ is there (11st Air Fleet) with Range 5, it´s under the direct command of Isoroku Yamamoto. It´s only 5 hexes far away of Guadalcanal.. He has the island.. I have a hammer to push him when Lunga will be resized to size 1 Airfield. More than 500 aircrafts are ready in all my available bases around Salomon-Bismarcks (Kavieng-Rabaul-Gasmata-Shortlands-Vella LaVella-Torokina-Panggoe-Munda)

Combined Fleet is near to ready to departure with a massive force: 11 Carriers and 10 battleships (Mutsu will can not be ready, due she is at Yokohama drydocks under repairs after be torpedoed by an enemy boat at Marshalls several months ago).

Best wishes
Ramón
