The Atlantic: Things continue to go well here for now, with lots of supplies being interdicted. Only a single U-boat was lost last turn, to patroling CAG's. The West seems to have withdrawn most of his naval forces from view. We were only able to find and sink 2 DD's on patrol. Not sure what he is upto, likely my renewed offensive here caught him off guard... and he is reorganizing his fleets to deal with the situation.
France: Enemy forces launched a small local attack out of Bordeaux, pushing back the infantry unit I had screening the city with some losses, but they did not follow up with a ground advance. Things are static on the ground for now and I moved the infantry unit back into place with replacements. I brought some artillery to bare on Bordeaux again, doing light damage to the city. We discovered the enemy had reoccupied the airfield to the south again. A recon flight discovered a Free French HQ occupying it and enemy fighters flying CAP from the city. This was an opportunity presenting itself, I had wanted to draw the enemy fighters into an air battle, but was expecting that I would take losses due to the cruisers at anchor in Bordeaux if I struck the city itself. With the enemy flying CAP over the air base, I could engage them in a dogfight without that worry. I sent all Luftwaffe fighters based in France into the battle. The results, pictured below, were a decisive victory for me.
In his turn the West did strike my CAG's in Cherbourg with his own air...and while I lost some, he also took losses due to flak. This turn I replaced the lost CAG's. All in all, I am satisfied with the situation in Western Europe.
