Paul have take a decission.. Spain will win [:'(]

TulliusDetritus -> RE: OT World Cup 2010 South Africa (7/9/2010 12:09:31 PM)

Fletcher, not necessarily [8D]

As I see it, this might mean Holland is going to win. Given that in the Euro Cup he got the final result wrong [:D]

geiramk -> RE: OT World Cup 2010 South Africa (7/9/2010 12:35:54 PM)

Paul was young and rash and fresh out of his egg for his Euro 2008 predictions, so he probably just went for the largest clam. Now, by Octopus standards, he's old and wise and less likely to give in to temptation and bribery.

Really, you are right.. but Paul doesn´t fall in a mistake anytime this year :D... We should wait to the next Sunday.. Good luck for both (Netherlands and Spain).
Best wishes
Ramón

TulliusDetritus -> RE: OT World Cup 2010 South Africa (7/9/2010 1:03:16 PM)

Anyway, is it only me or Paul is ALWAYS picking the box on the right (of viewers)? [:D]

Fletcher -> RE: OT World Cup 2010 South Africa (7/9/2010 1:08:12 PM)

hahaha ! could be !! [;)]

geiramk -> RE: OT World Cup 2010 South Africa (7/9/2010 1:12:16 PM)

England would have progressed to the quarter finals if that were so...

Ah, I see, not always the box on the right [:)]

patrickl -> RE: OT World Cup 2010 South Africa (7/9/2010 2:01:39 PM)

Whatever it is, I amgoing to watch it at 2.30am over here.[:D]

geiramk -> RE: OT World Cup 2010 South Africa (7/9/2010 11:42:43 PM)

And I'll be down some suitably dingy pub here. Anyway, now that the Germans are out of the picture and happily can't win any more (sorry Germans, nothing personal- feel the same for BRA, ARG, ITA), I find I don't really care who wins between NL and ES... Since we all like underdogs, I'll go for NL, and also, as all the barmaids at the local pub have been wearing orange throughout the WC, I can't be going too wrong..

patrickl -> RE: OT World Cup 2010 South Africa (7/10/2010 12:13:50 AM)

I support Holland too![&o][&o][&o]

Mynok -> RE: OT World Cup 2010 South Africa (7/10/2010 12:14:05 AM)

Go Dutch! I hate orange, but the Netherlands are long overdue for a championship.

Spain will be back.

TulliusDetritus -> RE: OT World Cup 2010 South Africa (7/10/2010 10:48:37 AM)

To me the question is: will Van Bommel finally get the red card he is been looking for during the whole tournament? [:D]

And some people on these forums accused the Italian players [8|]

Let's be honest, Van Bommel is a very lucky boy to be playing tomorrow. I just hope he looks at the replay of the assault on the Uruguayan in which he could have broken the guy's leg and realises he needs to be less of a { } please insert your own expletive.

Provided Robben, Van Persie and co concentrate on playing football like they can and do not resort to diving and feigning injury like they are prone to, I still want a Dutch victory on balance, but I have to admit as a football fan, Spain are great to watch.

Yes, Van Persie SHOULD appear. It's his last chance [8D] Robben and Sneijder are doing a great tournament. Let's see if they can beat the Spanish midfield. It should be tough. And apparently the Spanish players are saying they did not play at 100% yet. They expect to do that in the final.

Apollo11 -> RE: OT World Cup 2010 South Africa (7/10/2010 10:49:12 PM)

Hi all,

Well... Paul the Octopus predicted correctly once again... Germany won he 3rd place... [:D]

Fletcher -> RE: OT World Cup 2010 South Africa (7/10/2010 11:23:16 PM)

Paul the Octopus is going to be red... ("blue" like spanish team dressing for tomorrow final coup match) [:)]

TulliusDetritus -> RE: OT World Cup 2010 South Africa (7/11/2010 5:36:57 PM)

Looks like Paul The Octopus made a big mistake before (and no, it's not the 2008 Euro Cup Final) [:D]

Final Word before the final:

Come on Holland!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Terminus -> RE: OT World Cup 2010 South Africa (7/11/2010 7:39:32 PM)

With the World Cup final now under way, I have to say that I've been very disappointed in this tournament. Far too many of the so-called "big teams" have failed so miserably to live up to reasonable expectations of quality of play, effort and enthusiasm. Add to that those miserable plastic horns from hell, the bad refereeing and the stupid new ball and well...[:@]

Germany was a positive exception, but that's about it.

Terminus -> RE: OT World Cup 2010 South Africa (7/11/2010 10:04:24 PM)

Hey Fletcher, how do you say "congratulations" in Spanish?[;)]

Fletcher -> RE: OT World Cup 2010 South Africa (7/11/2010 10:04:50 PM)

AND THE WINNER IS ..... SPAIN !!! [&o]
A prize to the good football !
I hope understanding from Holland supporters
Best of wishes
ramón

Walloc -> RE: OT World Cup 2010 South Africa (7/11/2010 10:06:22 PM)

Gratz to all spaniards!
Now, go out into the streets and celebrate!

Kind regards,

Rasmus

Miller -> RE: OT World Cup 2010 South Africa (7/11/2010 10:13:18 PM)

The Dutch tried to kick Spain off the pitch, it would have been a travesty if they had won.

Spain are deserved World Champions.

Terminus -> RE: OT World Cup 2010 South Africa (7/11/2010 10:19:07 PM)

Indeed. A disgraceful number of fouls...

TulliusDetritus -> RE: OT World Cup 2010 South Africa (7/11/2010 10:25:25 PM)

Spain 1 - 0 Netherlands [8D]

Congratulations, Spain [:)]

Van Bommel didn't get his red card, but the whole Dutch team got LOADS of yellow cards [:D] Why? Because they were forced to stop the BEST team [;)] Not a lot of fair play from their part but you can understand it...

Oh, and Paul The Octopus has striked again! [X(]

Terminus -> RE: OT World Cup 2010 South Africa (7/11/2010 10:25:39 PM)

It'll be weird next time I watch a football match without that ****ing buzzing noise...

moonraker65 -> RE: OT World Cup 2010 South Africa (7/11/2010 10:28:08 PM)

Well done Spain. Certainly the best team in this World Cup.
