ORIGINAL: Vanguard_DW I agree if you can colonise ice planets then you should also get ice asteroids, I mention it as in the galactopedia it says colonisation of roids isnt possible. Though I understand the galactopedia isnt fully up to date. @Spacecadet I've a feeling Humans and everyone else for that matter are meant to have fully colony options now, IIRC the blurb with each colonisation component mentions holding it improves growth rate on the last components terrain. Eg Having the Ocean component means your Swamp planets population grows quicker. (I think, am at work so don't have the game infront of me) Basically this I just grabbed from the 1.0.5.6 release thread. 3. Some new colonization tech increases population growth rate for colonies (as well as unlocking new colonization components) 4. When planet type is not native type for a race, then population growth rate is slower, BUT colonization research progressively improves the growth rate for these non-native planet types I just thought this referred to when you received a new colonization tech, not that they added all the newer modules, but I see where you're coming from on this. Looking at it this way, it would seem to make sense that #4 would effectively increase the planet quality for planets that are below the new colonization tech. For example: Humans getting Desert colonization tech would boost the Marsh planet quality x%, and the Continent planet quality x% + y%. x% = boost from Continent to Marsh y% = boost from Marsh to Desert
