ORIGINAL: gijas I have a question. How does the map maker determine terrian and seasonal variations such as terrian and seasons in southern russia from northern russia. I would assume using the terrian editor you can moddify such settings to your liking. I watched the first map editor tutorial and I understand that it was about capturing the elevation or height of a certain map area using google map/earth. But how do you add snow on the ground, winter trees without leaves and winter weather conditions. Is this done by the terrian editor as the next step? yes, there are some more Map maker vids in the pipeline, but to answer the question, once you have the map and elevation data, you can start adding textures and other map objects, and also designate muddy areas, and other things. there are tree models for both winter and summer. thanks rick
