WITMAN BOBBY WOLL -> Creating senarios (8/24/2010 8:48:26 AM)

I am simply a gamer who enjoys this game. Yes there are some tweaks to make this game more realistic but the graphics are excellent and I long to create a senario with great swarms of tanks facing each other across the desert slugging it out with each other. Please tell me I can create this without programming knowledge and that I would simply create a map, select my forces, position some objective flags which would make the A1 move towards that flag in an aggressive manner.

You can place units and design the map all in the map editor. This will be fine for a multiplayer game. Creating single player games is a bit more complex as you need to set up the AI to do stuff. Within the editor you can set them to seek and destroy or defend their location but if you want more complex behaviour you would need to script it. I suggest you check the design & modding portal for details: http://www.slitherine.com/modding/bbc_ba_pc. Feel free to post any queries or questions as we are continually improving the tools for map design & modding.

Witman -
If youre looking for a fun game, BA sure fills the bill - great fun!  Comes with built-in scenarios of course, and there are a few made by users over at the slitherine forum.  If youre looking to create scenarios , you REALLY need to go to the slitherine forum and read as many questions/replies as you can.  That will give you a better idea of what level of knowledge and skill is needed to successfully use the editor at various levels.  Good luck!
