Turn 51 Canadian frontier

This is the main area of operations this turn and my Americans are trying to drive the British back towards Montreal and maybe even trap a few of those valuable British foot regiments.

Canadian frontier turn 52

The British have withdrawn to Montreal rather than risk being cut off but my forces managed to surround and destroy some British units before marching on Montreal.

This scenario just sounds great.
Any way to playtest it versus the PO ? [:)]

GREAT scenario, guys. I'm totally interested in getting a hold of this one when you are done with the development. This could go down as one of the better scenarios created.

Turn 54 September 1779

At last the Americans and there French allies have captured New London,The rebelion is being driven back into Massachusetts where it all began i expect the French to send more troops soon and the Spanish to join the war on my side as the EEV must be nearly at 100 now.
Once the Spanish arrive i will move on West Florida which has two British garrisons one at Pensacola and another at Mobile

Turn 54 September 1779

As i marched towards St Augustine the local Indians rose against the Americans and joined the British whodefend the town, there first act was to slip around the flank of my army and destroy the only bridge to Georgia and supplies.
More troops are on there way to assist my now cut off army that failed to take St Augustine i need to deal with these Indians and restore my supply lines back to Savanah

Raindem -> RE: Playtest AAR Call to Arms (1/19/2011 3:42:18 AM)

I have decided to concede.  Even if I were to hold on to everything I have (which I obviously won't be able to) he still has enough for a significant victory.

This was a successful playtest.  Ian has now managed a victory playing both sides (hey, I'm a designer.  I never said I knew how to play) which tells me I'm heading in the right direction as far as play balance goes.  We will be starting up another playtest as soon as I put the finishing touches on the latest changes.  Maybe Ian will do another AAR, it was a good read.

The PBEM version is basically finished.  Right now I'm over half way through setting up the British PO.

sapper32 -> RE: Playtest AAR Call to Arms (1/19/2011 9:59:30 PM)

Last turn off this game and victory for the Americans,I managed to keep my army intact and weather the British storm the Americans get a lot of militia which i used to reinforce the continental units that had being worn down by constant British pressure
eventualy the British ran out of steam and with the entry of France and Spain on my side the tide turned in my favour,It would have taken a lot of turns to rout the British in New England and there was still a powerfull garrison in New York and Quebec to deal with,
Realy enjoyed the game and looking forward to starting again as the British i got away with my strategy as the Brits last time but a different plan will be used this time, we have both played both sides now and i know im going to have a hard time as the British the key for me is going to be keeping the EEV in check for as long as possible then see where i stand as the game progresses.

Here is a screenshot of the last turn i played.
