Just wait until you stop seeing the KB death star showing up. At that point, he's likely parked it somewhere mid map where it can respond to the areas he wants to defend...then when you invade, he shows up at the edge of max range, hammers the amphibious force, then sails away before you can respond. In a lot of ways, defending is far easier than attacking, when the other guy makes the first move, you can take full advantage of any chinks in his armor.

Historically the US fast carrier fleet hit the invasion site first and then moved past it to provide cover from the Japanese response. I've been rather happy the KB++ hasn't been operating against me like that. Of course, my opponent wants to preserve his pilots.

Patience and LBA. Eventually the ships from the KB must go in for refit - the longer he waits, the more units he must have in repair at the same time. Moving LBA forward aggressively to attrite the KB is effective but requires patience
