Not sure if I'm going crazy, there's a bug or my game is just corrupted, but here is what I experience:

I go into the editor.
Open any scenario.
Bring up the force editor.
Change the color of a unit to the top left type (red on blue).
Look at the deployed unit in normal zoom, it has correct color.
Look at it in zoomed out view (small icon) and now is the color similar to some nearby unit.

Can others replicate this?

Kamerad Danmark,

indeed I can replicate this during the playback as well. Me and already some of my fellow PBEM lads noticed ghost units or enemy units having the same counter colour as friendlies... Not sure if RT is aware of it. I first thought it's a video resolution or colour depth issues; it ain't.

Thanks. Now I need to figure out how to work around this, when I'm using all the other 109 colors.

I'm not even kidding. [;)]

It only happens when you zoom out? Not the 'normal' zoom level?

Telumar -> RE: Cameleon unit (7/24/2011 11:55:29 PM)

Ok, i can confirm this too. It happens only in the editor and apparently only with the upper left colour combination. When the scenario is saved and opened as a normal game it displays the change in the zoomed-out view correctly however.

I believe to have seen 'ghost units' in the PBEM playback, too.

Pointed Ralph and Bob to this issue.

Yes, at first I thought I had named one of the s_units files wrong, since normal view was ok, but after checking and double-checking, and since the units in a formation that all had been given same scheme showed up in different colors, I knew something was wrong.

At first I feared I had somehow corrupted my scenario file, but then noticed that I could replicate it with any scenario.

I was just slow to discover what scenario our Danish friend is working on. I spotted the thread about it after asking here.
