Vasquez -> RE: Your First Matrix Game (8/4/2011 12:09:07 AM)

War in Russia (Matrix Edition) and SPWAW. Both for free. The first game I bought was Korsun Pocket iirc.

reg113 -> RE: Your First Matrix Game (8/5/2011 10:18:27 PM)

Wow, I did the exact same thing, iirc...

martok -> RE: Your First Matrix Game (8/6/2011 5:32:46 AM)

Gary Grigsby's War Between the States

Bison36 -> RE: Your First Matrix Game (8/6/2011 8:14:27 AM)

John Tiller's Campaign Series. The next day I bought Forge of Freedom.

davidholes -> RE: Your First Matrix Game (8/9/2011 12:35:43 AM)

This is my first matrix game...

Jabez54 -> RE: Your First Matrix Game (8/9/2011 2:49:00 AM)

Wow ... Haven't been in here awhile, since my last post ... I'm here because of KG's recent comment ... Mine, of course, is Puresim in 2006 ... I do miss the old style forum here ...

Luck of the Irish to you all, mates ...

cantona2 -> RE: Your First Matrix Game (8/9/2011 10:42:41 AM)

I think it was SPWAW, but I had no idea at the time it was Matrix. My first two Matrix purchases where the Lost Victories Campaign and Fortress Europe [8|]

Chijohnaok2 -> RE: Your First Matrix Game (8/9/2011 11:12:51 AM)

UV was my first.

Followed by WITP, WITP-AE, War Between the States, and a number of others.

redcoat -> RE: Your First Matrix Game (8/9/2011 11:19:20 AM)

SPWAW. Got me in the door.

Terminus -> RE: Your First Matrix Game (8/9/2011 11:22:45 AM)

War in the Pacific stock.

JMass -> RE: Your First Matrix Game (8/9/2011 1:53:39 PM)

SPWAW

Hertston -> RE: Your First Matrix Game (8/9/2011 9:08:08 PM)

Box copies of Korsun Pocket and Titans of Steel, I think.

Plodder -> RE: Your First Matrix Game (8/10/2011 5:42:46 AM)

SPWAW for me, took me 5 days to download on dial-up. [:D] My first purchase was the Desert Fox mega-campaign.

Dennistoun -> RE: Your First Matrix Game (8/10/2011 7:36:36 PM)

I got an older PC from a friend @ 4 years ago and the only decent game I could really get to play was a game I bought from an Amazon seller called East Front II. When that old bugger died I got a better, newer model and thru a Google search I eventually bumped into Matrix Games and it's been love ever since.
So first game was naturally John Tiller's Campaign Series (for East Front) and I reckon I've spent a little fortune on over 2 dozen MG titles ever since - not to mention another dozen and a half on other games from other sites. Yikes!

Oh yeah! I forgot about that. Played first scenario only, then there was a bug and that was the end of the game. Complained to Matrix an was told, its your system..tough luck!

Luckily, things seemed to have improved since then.

I saw this unkown game called Gary Grigsby's World at War by an obscure company named Matrix games at a big shot store named Best Buy. I've been hooked ever since.

Mine was Titan of Steel, a tactical mech game found in a Game Store.
Then I discovered Matrix and digital download. I think my second game was WITP, one of the best game I've ever played.

Bye

mytony -> RE: Your First Matrix Game (8/13/2011 9:27:00 AM)

I like wow and rift, vidoe games are more interesting.

smjex -> RE: Your First Matrix Game (8/14/2011 2:43:55 PM)

Puresim Baseball.

Perturabo -> RE: Your First Matrix Game (8/19/2011 2:10:40 AM)

My first Matrix Game purchased for full price (not picked from a bargain bin) is Battles from the Bulge. I think the second one will be the future Eastern Front game from Panther Games.

I never knew Matrix had other games besides GG World at War in retail. I'm curious, what games did you find in the bargain bin?

WitP, WPO, Battles in Italy, Battles in Normandy, SP:WaW:GE, Tin Soldiers: Alexander the Great, Tin Soldiers: Julius Caesar and a few others. I bought WPO, Battles in Italy and Battles in Normandy for 6 PLN each - ironically, I never really got into them.

Fred98 -> RE: Your First Matrix Game (8/19/2011 12:55:25 PM)

What was your first Matrix game?

Mine was Uncommon Valor. I actually bought it at CompUSA. I had seen rave reviews for it and since Joel Billings of SSI fame was involved I decided to get it. I tried looking for War in the Pacific at CompUSA when it came out but they didn't have it. IIRC that's what led me to the Matrix Games website.

Mundy -> RE: Your First Matrix Game (9/12/2011 1:51:18 PM)

UV for me, way back when.

I've jumped on every decendent of it since.
