Ed came home drunk one night, slid into bed beside his sleeping wife, and fell into a deep slumber.

He awoke before the Pearly Gates, where St. Peter said, 'You died in your sleep, Ed.'

Ed was stunned. 'I'm dead? No, I can't be! I've got too much to live for. Send me back!'

St. Peter said, 'I'm sorry, but there's only one way you can go back, and that is as a chicken.'

Ed was devastated, but begged St. Peter to send him to a farm near his home....
The next thing he knew, he was covered with feathers, clucking and pecking the ground.

A rooster strolled past. 'So, you're the new hen, huh? How's your first day here?'

'Not bad,' replied Ed the hen, 'but I have this strange feeling inside. Like
I'm gonna explode!'

'You're ovulating,' explained the rooster. 'Don't tell me you've never laid an
egg before?'

'Never,' said Ed.

'Well, just relax and let it happen,' says the rooster. 'It's no big deal.'

He did, and a few uncomfortable seconds later, out popped an egg!

He was overcome with emotion as he experienced motherhood.

He soon laid another egg -- his joy was overwhelming.

As he was about to lay his third egg, he felt a smack on the back of his head, and heard.....

"Ed, wake up! You sh-t the bed!"

Getting OLD just ain't what they said it would be!

No, but it's moving against my US -> Australia supply lines. It's a race to see who can land on New Caledonia and Fiji first...

DivePac88 -> RE: THE THREAD!!! (4/15/2012 11:21:01 PM)

Morning tithe... New kitty-Cat got into my PBEM notes folder overnight, what a bloody mess. Some of the pages are in strips now, bugger, and he is not big enough for a fur mat. [sm=Christo_pull_hair.gif]

And silly me thought wargames on the computer were the cure for "tyranus felinus." [:D]

Good to see you, Des! [8D]

Exhausted Sunday evening - Tithe. [&o][&o][&o]

USSAmerica -> RE: THE THREAD!!! (4/16/2012 2:00:40 AM)

This weekend involved staining and sealing our deck, loading, unloading, and spreading 34 bags of mulch at 2 cu. feet each, laying some 16 inch square paving stones outside our back door, and around 2 dozen new plants and flowers planted. Who needs a gym? [:D]

USSAmerica -> RE: THE THREAD!!! (4/16/2012 2:02:03 AM)

I've had a hot shower, some sangria, and now a little bit of playoff hockey on the tube. Bedtime is probably less than 30 minutes away. [>:]

AW1Steve -> RE: THE THREAD!!! (4/16/2012 2:19:24 AM)

Well, my little corner of the Cornhusker state dodged tornado's, survived hurricane winds (although we're still experincing some) massive thunderstorms and intense rain. Just got back from a "Japan day" in Omaha. The Mikado , followed by sushi,Sake and sashimi. BANZAI! Ya'll! Ayuh...... [:D]

Treetop64 -> RE: THE THREAD!!! (4/16/2012 5:57:50 AM)

My thoughts for those of you in Tornado Alley. Know what it's like there, used to live in Missouri when I was a kid, and saw two tornadoes myself. Was fascinated, awestruck, and terrified all at the same time. Nothing was broken and no one was hurt in either case.

If there's one thing I enjoy, it's depth charging subs to the surface and then shooting them to pieces. One of life's little pleasures.
