Leo,

How'd you leave this hanging for so long? We bearers of the THREAD need to monitor (get it...?) this bastion to ensure that the likes of the Fodder or Nashvillen tyranny don't hold sway.

ALL HAIL THE THREAD INP. [&o]

Daughter's birthday today. Going to an indoor trampoline / laser tag center. Another 'opportunity' for dad to blow out some important tendons and ligaments in his knees! Stay tuned, kiddos! [:D]

Can't believe that I was the last poster on past two pages never realizing that fact... [:D]

Took my son skiing as part of a class field trip today. His first time. Success! He enjoyed it immensely. I didn't destroy any important tendons or ligaments in my knees. Neither of us came away with frostbite, in spite of the -12F morning slope temps. [8D] A clear, sunny and beautiful day.

A good day.

Where on earth do you ski?

Mundy -> RE: THE THREAD!!! (3/2/2015 3:36:21 PM)

Spirit Mountain?

Spirit Mountain?

No. Good guess though. It was Trollhaugen, over on your side of the river.

Mundy -> RE: THE THREAD!!! (3/2/2015 6:02:29 PM)

Way down south...  [;)]

Probably why I never heard of it..

Lecivius -> RE: THE THREAD!!! (3/2/2015 7:16:34 PM)

Trollhaugen? Man, we have kids tubin hills bigger. Ya'll come visit. I'll show you some serious fun [;)] Telluride just got 2 feet of fresh powder, and I have the keys to a condo right in the crotch of the V of that place...

Actually, that sounds painful. But it's still descriptive! [:D]

I know. I grew up skiing Mammoth Mountain and the Lake Tahoe resorts. Haven't been out to Colorado or Idaho, but I'm sure you guys have some awesome skiing right now.

For a small mountain, Trollhaugen wasn't bad. It isn't about the vertical drop, it's about the proximity, the low cost and the excellent ski lessons the kids got. A season pass costs $200. [:D] I'd bet with rentals and lift ticket, you'd be looking at about that for one day of your Colorado resorts.

Schanilec -> RE: THE THREAD!!! (3/2/2015 9:29:39 PM)

We have some radical horizontal slopes here. Some over 300 miles long.[:'(]

It's Tuesday.
Nothing is broke.
I'm leaving work early.
I have pressed Jamaican Blue Bean on my desk.
Life is good today [8D]

One last day of cold, then Denver gets outta the deep freeze.

nashvillen -> RE: THE THREAD!!! (3/4/2015 7:58:56 PM)

High for today (at Midnight) was 66. It is now 46 and accelerating downward... They are calling for 1-6 inches of snow overnight. Dang you NoDak!
