I would also like to thank Emir and Cannonfodder for the game and AAR.

Salute!

Bill

As I promised in the next two post I will provide charts for Ground and Air War in this game. You can find more detailed data (Manpower Pool, OKH inventory, OOB for Axis Allies) in Excel file attached to this post.

Also, what is not displayed in chart is morale, experience and fatigue for motorized and armored divisions. Here are the stats:

Start of Turn 01
Average moral: 86,5
Average experience: 86,0
Average fatigue: 00,0

End of Turn 15
Average moral: 88,4
Average experience: 86,6
Average fatigue: 49,3

Ground War Statistics

NOTE: Soviet Ground Losses would be considerably greater in next few turns as, at start of turn 16, there was about 40 isolated combat units in Kharkov pocket, 30-35 in Stalino pocket, and with imminent isolation of Leningrad there would be additional 50-60 combat units in north pocket. Some of these units could be saved but most of them would be doomed.

have the addons and looked for some tutorials  on youtube but dont find any good ones on how to manipulate MILskecth and Paint.net together,if i could i would make 1 on this site....it would benefit the AAR section i guess,it would be nice if someone  can give some pointers on how to start and where to move :)
i can open a picture in paint.net and then what :) ,i tried several things but im prob looking way to far while it is possibly is very Easy,so if anyone could give me (and maybe other people) some pointers that would be nice :)

Here are some basic steps:

1. Familiarize yourself with basic functions of MILSketch. At their web site you can find:

- 18 Minute MILSketch Tutorial Video
- Introduction to MILSketch (PDF File)
- Short review/tutorial by Steve Dixon

2. Save WitE screenshot in BMP format.

3. Use MILSketch to open WitE screenshot and draw all necessary lines, arrows and symbols. Save the sketch again in BMP format.

4. Use Paint.NET to open that sketch. Add layer for text. Add layer for additional objects (Paint.NET arrows, lines etc if you want). Type in text comments, draw additional lines (borders, arrows...) in each corresponding layer.

5. Use "Outline Object" function for text, lines etc. You first need to download "Object outline" plug-in as this function doesn't come with Paint.NET installation. (This is optional step)

6. Save finished sketch as JPG or GIF. Publish on forum.

That is it. I hope it helps.

Emir

Superb victory and superb graphics. If you don't mind I will be imitating the graphics! [:D]

I was imitating Carnage's AAR, but this one is amazing! I use Paint.net but didn't know the other ones. I am going to download them. Thanks for sharing [:)]

No. I don't mind at all.

To be honest, this art style is not entirely my invention. I would like to give credit to a guy who is writing blog Real and Simulated Wars. I was mostly inspired by his AARs, although it took some time to figure out what software he is using. BTW, great blog, one of a few which is worth reading.
