ORIGINAL: Lord Sunderland Rick I had no problem with the parameter setting. When it was originally crashing I tried a number of different ones to see if that helped, (but none did)- mainly reducing the screen resolution and the texture and detail quality to medium. Currently set at ATI Radeon 4800 Resolution 1920*1200 ( native screen size of my Dell) Bit depth 32, Refresh rate 60 It crashed this time in the Boot Camp campaign after runningone previous mission and then in the final infantry campaign- about 6 turns in. Previously it had been crashing in the tutorial- generally when I got near the church ( with lots of smoke present), but I had not used smoke in the boot camp when it crashed. OK, thanks. It certainly appears to be something with the video interface. Any chance that the DirectX installation when installing PCO didn't get completed correctly? I'm just grasping now, since it appears this is the logfile msg that initiates the CTD: 1/4/2012 1:33:33 PM: System.Exception: Make sure no other Direct3D devices are created ---> Microsoft.DirectX.Direct3D.DeviceLostException: Error in the application. at Microsoft.DirectX.Direct3D.Device.Reset(PresentParameters[] presentationParameters) at Lib.Rasterizer.Window3D.Reset(Boolean isWindowed, Int32 width, Int32 height) hopefully someone who has more knowledge of display card tech will have an idea. thanks rick
