Now were getting spam bots. damn

jomni -> RE: Meus operations (4/9/2012 10:39:42 AM)

Full of Air (O2) is being pestered by a smaller Indonesian airline  called Indonesia Mandiri Airline.
He started encroachin on my Philippine routes.

2ndACR -> RE: Meus operations (4/9/2012 10:45:14 AM)

Crush him........I forced him off 3 of my routes a while back with a stern warning. Have not heard from you in a while, you been okay?

Dixie -> RE: Meus operations (4/9/2012 10:48:41 AM)

Jet Yellow is at the point where we can afford to buy new jets instead of leasing them [8D]  The A330 series with Trent 772 engines allow enough range to reach anywhere in the US and most of Asia whilst being able to operate from the short runway at Luton.  It's just a shame that it's taking such a long time for the manufacturer to churn out enough aircraft to meet demand.

2ndACR -> RE: Meus operations (4/9/2012 10:55:53 AM)

About time we got someone into LTN to fill all those long hauls I have been drooling over for game years.

Just make sure you and Terje are not stepping on each other Dixie. I have to be careful in the US because we have 3-4 of us working in there.

I have been going at it of late with the same guy. He is annoying, isn't he?

He has been hitting my Indonesian routes. (look at his route map... He is all over Indonesia)

Although my memory is foggy, I thought I tangled with this guy years ago (gametime) and had sent him into a death spiral. Either he recovered, or restarted again under the same name.

After repeatedly going back and forth on cutting prices I started to search out his solo routes, drop in prop planes and put the squeeze on him.

For a while I was changing prices 3 or 4 times a (real) day. He seems to have slowed down, but not entirely stopped his activities.

Sad thing is I do not have enough time to launch a proper offensive to crush him.

Chijohnaok2 -> RE: Meus operations (4/9/2012 7:59:58 PM)

If you have access to the o2 game, take a look at the following route.
JFK-LHR

Mine, as well as nearly every else's share of pax are basically zero on this route. I show zero's for all classes F/C/Y, but have some blue in the Y class.

Fortunately, I am still showing a DoP of $26,376.....lol

Chijohnaok2 -> RE: Meus operations (4/9/2012 8:19:00 PM)

Worldlines is still losing planes into the bin. There are 4 of his 767-300ER that were repo'd.

He is currently ranked 23rd (I think 2 notches lower than this past weekend).

I have mobilized against him on his 6 routes into Brazil. I would suggest you US airlines (or any Euro airlines whose country he flies routes into) should do the same. If he continues losing planes, his routes will open up for you. Get on them now!

Mobeer -> RE: Meus operations (4/9/2012 9:54:14 PM)

2nd ACR - no worries on routes

JFK-LHR - this is something I have seen elsewhere - some sort of bug in the graph - note the one airline shown has a 2800% market share.

R5:
Worldlines is down from 1090 to 1007 planes
MEUS have some huge orders on planes to replace existing planes

O2:
MEUS bought 131 CL-44 Yukon between 3 and 8 years old, plus 28 737-200 Advance, 2 or 3 years old. This has helped delay any fleet replacement issues. Britannia, Trident 3B and Vanguard planes are being replaced by 737, 757 and 767 jets.

Chijohnaok2 -> RE: Meus operations (4/9/2012 10:29:43 PM)

Five repo'd 747-400s in the bin from worldlines......

2ndACR -> RE: Meus operations (4/9/2012 10:44:47 PM)

I dumped all my 747-400.......will just have to wait on my next batch of new a/c to arrive or to hit the used bin.

O2.......AEOLOS is getting frisky.....he invaded 4 of my routes. Shame on him. Bad thing for him, I am still using props and he is trying to compete with jets.

Chijohnaok2 -> RE: Meus operations (4/9/2012 11:18:22 PM)

AELOS has been quiet on my front. Have not see any more of his dropping onto my routes and the price reductions that came along with it. Perhaps my dropping in on 20 to 30 of his solo routes may have had something to do with it

My comments about worldlines had more to do with him and less to do with his planes the fact that he's still shedding major planes for non-payment. He is vulnerable.

2ndACR -> RE: Meus operations (4/10/2012 3:47:00 AM)

Oh, he is just being a pest. If he really wants to challenge my CL44 on routes with DC10's he will get hurt. He is not making any money on any of those routes he jumped. He might be at 100% load, but so am I and I have them down to where I make 50,000 with props, so he should be losing 50,000.

R5..........Jin Air is really being cool with route sharing, I have carte blanche to enter any of his solo routes with prior notice and he makes room. I am thus avoiding any routes he is already fighting on and making life difficult for the other airlines in China.

Main airline is up to 123 mil a day profit and cruising pretty good. Still exploiting empty long haul and causing some problems for European Airlines flying into the US. Might as well hurt them any way I can.

jomni -> RE: Meus operations (4/10/2012 4:08:57 AM)

Indonesia Mandiri is just a pest.  Quite harmless but annoying.
AEOLOS can pack a punch but he has slowed down on my side.

2ndACR -> RE: Meus operations (4/10/2012 4:18:15 AM)

That is because we clobbered him pretty good. Not enough to kill him, but enough to hurt him.

R5........worldlines is based from SFO and PHI........he faces stiff competition on major routes (like all US routes) but I found 6 solo routes of his and used a/c he lost to the repo man against him on those routes. Meus is on a ton of his routes but needs to up his tempo to crush him.

Chijohnaok2 -> RE: Meus operations (4/10/2012 5:25:58 AM)

Worldlines shed another two 767-300ER into the bin due to being repo'd.

My main R5 airline (Siebenburgen in Brazil) is currently at $160,956,524 DoP.
Just cracked the top 10 in ranking.
Fleet size is 916 (863 owned + 53 leased. The leased planes are all within 6 months of lease date so I have no monthly payments. I have been managing to pay them off before the first monthly payment comes due.

My 2nd airline (7B in Europe/Romania) is currently $24,458,899 DoP.
It's ranked 120th.
Fleet size is 230 (88 owned + 142 leased. I have stopped paying off leases as I am trying to build up a cash reserve (currently just over $2billion) heading into the Open Skies kickoff. I have been scoping out opportunities for once Open Skies commences. I will order up planes before hand so that I have a stock of planes to use on day one.

Chijohnaok2 -> RE: Meus operations (4/10/2012 2:07:10 PM)

Double salary paid again for May 1999 in R5.

I have posted updates in 2 different bug threads regarding it.

2ndACR -> RE: Meus operations (4/10/2012 2:30:26 PM)

I noticed that.......it sucks.

Have not noticed it happening in O2 at all..........but in other news, in O2, fleet upgrades continue. Down to 276 mil per day from 285 mil.

R5.......Minn is up to 127 mil a day and not finding very many empty routes worth exploiting but continue making life hard on everyone else.

China Matrix is invading NSW Air routes massively. Major price wars will soon be happening on many routes where NSW took a few kicks between the legs from my invasions. This coupled with his ongoing route fights with Jin Air, will hopefully hurt him.

2ndACR -> RE: Meus operations (4/10/2012 3:00:29 PM)

Just heard from Sydcal in O2.........he is catching splatter from AEOLOS. He is now in the war with us. AEOLOS has been hitting his routes pretty hard.

I told him that if he trips over any solo AEOLOS routes to send them to me because I currently have a 19 plane stockpile of idle IL86 props.

With 2 wars going in R5, it is hard to focus on O2. I can get hurt worse in R5 so that is where my attention has been.

Chijohnaok2 -> RE: Meus operations (4/10/2012 10:54:39 PM)

Nothing new on the Aeolos front to report from me. It's been quiet of late.

PaulvonHindenburg -> RE: Airline Empire AAR (4/11/2012 4:42:18 PM)

Like Air, check this ones out:

Chijohnaok2 -> RE: Airline Empire AAR (4/11/2012 6:26:40 PM)

That is the latest in snow clearing technology that our "generous" budget in Bucharest allows!
;-)

2ndACR -> RE: Airline Empire AAR (4/12/2012 11:24:24 AM)

O2......we have another request to join.......from Air Norway........little guy.........up to you all. We are big enough that I am not concerned whether we accept or not.

Also in O2, scored 20 737-300 in the used bin and all are placed on routes retiring older a/c with heavier fuel costs that also carry less pax. Small boost to DOP, but also allowed me to reduce number of a/c in my fleet by 1. LOL

R5.......exploiting of US routes continues. Just found a 650 pax route totally empty in the US. In China, small brush wars continue with NSW and Air Manila.

Chijohnaok2 -> RE: Airline Empire AAR (4/12/2012 11:29:11 AM)

For Open Skies in R5, I will also be staking out Belarus (if its included that is)......

Speedysteve -> RE: Airline Empire AAR (4/12/2012 5:33:47 PM)

For me it all depends on if we can build terminals outside our home country. If so I'll take out Malta air and run routes from Malta for starters if no on terminals that will complicate things!

Chijohnaok2 -> RE: Airline Empire AAR (4/12/2012 6:55:22 PM)

I cannot see them allowing you to originate flights from outside your home country, to a non-home country destination, and NOT allow you to build terminals and hubs.

In that respect, it should be like the O2 world, just hat it's lImited to the EU countries.

Chijohnaok2 -> RE: Airline Empire AAR (4/12/2012 9:06:02 PM)

OK---It's Jan. 1---when does it kick in?????

Speedysteve -> RE: Airline Empire AAR (4/12/2012 9:34:19 PM)

Hmm 2nd jan and not allowed. Grrrr. I've 150 planes saved for this. Grrr

2ndACR -> RE: Airline Empire AAR (4/12/2012 10:15:30 PM)

I think it is in June, but not sure about that. Never did an Open Skies time frame.

Plus, you are Turkey based, Turkey is not in the EU so you might not be able to use Open Skies. I know I can't do so because I am US based. That was why I said might want to wait and see who can and cannot use it.
