Summary First of all, thanks are in order; -Oloren for once more kicking my ass [:D] I enjoy our games even if I do take a beating, and your replies are on time every day. -All of you, thank you for boosting the views on this one up to 22k+ [&o][&o][&o][&o][&o][&o][&o] So, a year by year summary as I remember them, might not be entirely on the mark, but... 1941 - I prove that I am certainly no panzer commander, then the blizzard tore me a new one. 1942 - I try to regain the initiative, but to no avail, and both sides start to dig in. 1943 - We are slowly pushed back, and try to make some stands, but the initiative is now firmly in USSR hands 1944 - It is all about preparing the last stand at the Oder-Line. We held it longer than anticipated, but in the end, numbers won the day. Why did I fail 1. Oloren outfought me 2. Not enough attention to some details 3. Had no idea what I was doing in Blizzard 4. And this is a big one, I wanted an "uber-pocket", a pocket that would collapse the entire USSR front. I should have gone for fewer smaller ones. What did annoy me the most? Although I realize that some consents must be made, there are some things I do not like; -no defender bonus for a frozen river. Really?! -imo engineers should bleed alot heavier when taking on a fortified zone. A level 4 fort, and the attackers take 5.000 men in casualties, imo atleast half should be engineers, as those are the ones likely to be at the front. -the withdrawals. This is something I dislike about Witp:AE as well. With the USSR outside Berlin, there is imo no way that the Wehrmacht would send their best formations to Normandie... What needs to be looked at The numbers in this game, they simply do not add up at times, there is someting strange there... Terje
