wsoxfan -> The lucky allies (3/29/2012 4:56:01 AM)

Hi all: I recently started a game against the Japanese AI with Scenario 42, or the Enhanced BB Variant of the AltWashingtonTreaty mod. So far, the game has been going incredibly well, as on turn one, there were thunderstorms over the KB, meaning no PH strike[X(][X(][X(][&o][&o][&o]. From there, it just got better for the allies. Force Z sortied to destroy several invasions of Borneo, and surprised a TF composed of four BB's and sunk two in exchange for a destroyer(though Force Z had doubled in size by the time of this engagement). And the allies still got luckier. A Japanese task Force led by the Battleship Haruna found a Royal Navy task force consisting of the Illustrious and the Hermes-and no other ships. however, the Japanese were low on ammountion from previous battles, so the Japanese task forceretreated from the unescorted carrier task force.[X(][X(]. The RN repaid the favor by puttting five air launched torpedos into the Haruna.[:'(]. Add to top it all off, Force Z was chasing after a contact report believed to be crippled battleships, only to discovere that the "battleships" were actually transports. When all was said and done, all transports were at the bottom of the sea, along with 28000 Troops, 200 Guns, and 200 Vehicles[X(][X(][X(][X(][X(][X(][&o][&o][&o][&o][&o][&o]. And it's not even 1942 yet. Granted, I'm doing this on easy difficulty since it's my first game, but still.
