Hello, I don't know why, but since I've played with 1.7.0.16, Pirates loose their shields and weapons in the design of their ships.

I had the same problem for the ships of my empire but I solved it through the menu "Empire Policy" (where none was selected for shields and beams weapon).

I don't know how to correct it for the Pirates.

Can you help me please ?

It seems to be solve if you erase all policy files .txt in Matrix Games\Distant Worlds\policy (except yours).

alien and pirates ships/bases have their shields and weapons back.

Try changing all decimal-values from . to , in the policy-files.

Worked for me.

I will try this week end. Maybe it's better than deleting all aliens policy files.
