So we've got: Capt. Pixel & the indominitable Sharfschuetze as the valiant Soviet defenders -vs- Orzel & Goblin as the wimpy, facist German invaders Moscow, May 1941 M4 Jess has graciously provided the map and the Oobs. (I've only seen the map so far - nothing but buildings and ex-buildings. Rocks and debris everywhere, I mean everywhere!) We need to arrive at an agreement on [COLOR=crimson]Save Game Slot[/COLOR], and I'd like to view the Soviet Oob so's Scharf and I can get our command structure laid out. Oh, and I need to rewatch 'Enemy at the Gate', for inspiration. :cool: M4- the Goblin Launchers shouldn't be available until '43.

What is the span of patience for a fruit fly? and more importantly, where did you garner the information? lol :p As for the battle: I didn't mean to force a battle on you Gob...I know battles aren't fun when you're not really "into" them. My post was not done with the intention of forcing the battle to start...I just wanted to know who was playing and who wasn't. After all, my name was only mentioned as a possible co-commander when they were still looking for player #2...then when I did finally sign up...I come to see we were suddenly still looking for player#2??? :confused: So the short of it is....if you really don't feel up to it...don't do so just because you feel "cornered" or honor-bound....Hell, that is why I started to think that I should back out as well and give everyone a shot at signing up all over again. Anyway...I'll kick back and see what happens.

As for fruit flies, most only live 1 or 2 days, so I would imagine that they do not have alot of patience. I really do not want to do a huge attack scenario right now, and ArcticFire seemed interested. He also posted first. That is all I was saying. After looking and seeing that it is also a river crossing scenario, I am even less inclined to do it. I see Jess actually gave us some artillery this time though, lol. Jess, out of curiousity, what point bonus is given to us for the assault? Goblin

It will no doubt be a bloody affair. :eek:

that statement will make Goblin feel even less inclined to be a participant. :eek: Artic...I hope you don't really think that. :( You were the original German player #1 choice...and Gary T. was singled out as player #2. When Gary T. didn't respond I threw my name into the hat just so there'd be a back-up...then when that happened you didn't voice up and suddenly Jess was looking frantically for another person to try and get the game rolling. Enter Goblin. I know Goblin would really rather sit on the sidelines on this one...and spend his time badgering me. And I don't have a problem whether he stays onboard or you take his place...and while I'm not trying to speak for Jess...I think he's just anxious to see bloodshed. lol (would have been another smilie here) So...where does that leave us? Well, I'd say: "Artic...pick up your rifle and meet me at the deployment area outside of Moscow....PRIVATE Goblin, stand down and return to your KP duties!" lol. (would have been another smilie here) Jess....I think this best. I wouldn't feel right thinking that another member of the community thought that he had been ousted for any reason. :) ps...Artic...please reply to this as soon as possible...after all we have the patience of fruit flies according to Goblin...lol (would have been yet another smilie here)

don't get bent out of shape my friend... Actually, I believe my assault against Vetkin is 1:1...but it's not about bravery...it's just about trying for the Hell of it. ;) Every once in a while you just have to have that Superman Bravado and see if you can beat the odds...even when they are heavily stacked against you. No matter I guess. :)

Points aren't all that important - being the last one to crawl out of the meatgrinder is what'll be important. :) Orzel, will you do the honors and start turn one as first player for the Germans? M4, could you edit the title of your post to reflect ArcticFire as the other German opponent? I'm sure Goblin would like that. ;) Scharf and I have #10 save game available. (At least I assume we do as that was our last game save.) Heads down, rifles forward, into the Forlorn Hope guys. :cool:
