AlanBernardo -> Drawing? (9/3/2012 3:09:35 AM)

Hello!

I was running through the walk-through in the editor and trying to draw some water.

I noticed a distinct difference between my end product and what is in the manual.

Any guess as to which is mine?

How do I get the better look?

I ran through the scenario creation pretty well, but then got exception errors and couldn't figure what the problem was.

Let me ask this again.

Having loaded up one of the tutorial files for DCCB and tried drawing, I noticed right off that when I tried to draw on a map I was not getting this hex by hex thing, but rather the drawing was spilling over, giving it the effect I want to get.

When I try this with a blank scenario, I get the hex by hex drawing (found in the second pic of the above post).

What do I need to change within the editor settings to get this more realistic look?

Someone has to know the answer to this.

Thanks,

Alan

Try importing the Land types into your blank scenario from an existing scenario? The import function is at the bottom of the list in the Stngs window - list at top left corner.

It might be that the hexside transition graphics you need don't come as stock with a new scenario but that they are sitting in the existing ones.

Hi,

I didn't realize and I don't think the walkthrough mentioned that I was supposed to load the coastal.png file when prompted for the 64 special sprites. I was loading the sea.png.

All is well now.

Thanks,

Alan
