Fuel, POL, etc. could be translated into Betriebsstoff, abbreciated to: Betr.-St.

CR - section commanders - column 'MaxB': tooltip shows 'HG' while actual corresponding text is 'AG'.

thanks, I believe to have it fixed now although with the danger of double-translating AG (from OB) to HG. It'll need some further testing. I'll upload the most recent working copy of the translation file soon.

I suggest to open a new thread for german manual mistakes (list may be very long) but I don't think there's a plan to work on it. Even with access to the source docs this is way too much work.
I asked Jim about the Sturm division, this may be just a small OB name prefix/suffix change.
I'll look into the An:/Zu: issue.

I don't know but we have to live with it.

Attached to this post is the most recent working copy of translation.csv with a detailed changelog. File has to be considered a beta release that needs thorough testing. I did not have the time for one of my usual human/human testgames into at least 43 to verify all the changes.

Arm used in english, no separate translation entry for this

As above, no separate entry for the usage in unit and location details, probably because received and requested both start with "r".

IMO Soviet vehicles like the SU-85 shouldn't be called 'Sturmgeschütz', rather 'Jagdpanzer', just like e.g. the SU-76 is. > http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/SU-85

Su-85/-100 are not called Sturmgeschütz but the units they are in. Any idea for a better name? Sfl-Brigade instead of StuG-Brigade?

SU = Samokhodnaya Ustanovka = self-propelled carriage
Light SU units consists of SU-76 so could be called light Pzj (Panzerjäger).
Medium SU are usually TD except one using SU-122 AG.
Heavy SU are using heavy AG.

Hmmm, I probably revert to SU for these units. This would also avoid confusion with SU used in unit title bar and StuG in HQ menu.

Several Soviet front names are wrong.

Nördlich Front > Nordfront (e.g.: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nordfront_%28Rote_Armee%29)
Nordwesten F. > Nordwestf.
Westlich > West
Südwestlich > Südwest
Südlich > Süd
Steppe > Steppen

Also, can you change 'Separat Armee' to 'Separate Armee'?

These front names are built from two word in the english original so not all occurences fixable but I'll look into it.
Separat may be a problem as well, not only used by army but also by Bde or Rgt.

I look into it but I assume we have to live with the partial translation (once unit is actively selected a proper translation is shown)

SU unit build screen: "HQ Kombinierte-Waffen-Armee"

Too literal, out of context and just wrong.

Guderian's original expression "Gefecht der verbundenen Waffen" refers to a way of fighting. No German staff officer would call an organizational structure this way.

Something like "gemischte Truppen" makes much more sense.

This translation work is not (yet) part of official game updates but it will contain all updates from the current Beta.
I'll take a look at HQ naming.
To get the most recent version posted in this thread fully compatible with the latest beta, add the two lines below to translation.csv

Another update to the working copy, please report any errors like text overlaps or unusual/missing translations. Amongst other fixes it contains now the two missing strings from WitE 1.06.23

How about Grenzschutzbrigade abbreviated to Gr.Sch.Br , as it is listed in the German Military Abbreviations.pdf posted by Oberst_Klink?
In this example "8. Ung.Gr.Sch.Br".
