Occasionally, we (my PBEM partner and I) an airplane in an army/corp HQ. Usually it moves on to an air unit attached to the HQ..but annoyingly, it prevents the HQ from moving anywhere other then an adjacent town.

I think I read somewhere that you were going to fix this, but I cant find the reference, so if you are, forgive me for repeating it...

If not, can you avoid 'noticing' the airplane when calculating how the HQ will move?

Are you playing with the hardcore logistics rules on? I think you are. Because than this can happen. Its one of the reasons why i did not make it the default rule in the scenario.

If so... the workaround is to make a seperate HQ for your air units or alternately keep them all under OKH directly.

If not.. it should be impossible. really. send me a savefile to vic@xs4all.nl for a check in that case.

best,
Vic

We will assign all our aircraft to OKH/STAVKA and it will probably all sort it self out...

On that note, I am wondering, if the HQ's effect aircombat in any way, in the same way they affect land units?

no, it is clear in combat details.
but, maybe you can train recently reinforcing staff by aircombat.
They are all in OKH/STAVKA.

No staff is strictly land theater. They dont interfere at all in any way with air and navy.
