Repsol -> Some replacement questions... (10/5/2012 5:53:21 PM)

Hello...

I don't fully understand what the information i get from the UI tells me with regards to
replacements...I think the manual is a bit vague on this point (unless i missed it )...

There are a couple of values that i dont understand what they mean. I hope theese screenshots will help to explain my
problems...

I think the second column is how many replacement the HQ kept for itself, usually because there is no need for a particular type.
The first colum is how many replacement units under the HQ received to be given out to units under it's command. So in the screenshot LIV Corp received 1 replacement of some sort and gave it to the 24th Division.

James Ward...Thanks !

On picture 2, column 1... my guess is that the first number is the requested replacements from the unit itself and the second number
is the total request of its superior HQ...Is that correct ?

My guess with Column 2 is that this is the number of replacements actually recieved (to the specific unit only (no info for its supperior HQ))...Do i have this right ?

Column 3 and 4 i don't know what they are...

^ I think column 3 is any 'overstock' replacements returned to the HQ. I think the game can over supply a unit occasionally.
I think column 4 are replacements returned if you are disbanding a unit.

LiquidSky -> RE: Some replacement questions... (10/5/2012 7:08:29 PM)

Column 1: Asked(needed). So 200(1600) means the unit needs 1600 more men to reach full strength, but is asking (requesting) HQ for 200 this turn.

Column 2: In. The actual amount the unit received.

Column 3: Ret. Returned...sometimes an HQ will get replacements for a unit that dies in combat, or is transferred elsewhere...so it will Return these steps back up the chain to STAVKA/OKH

Column 4: D-Ret. Disband Return...if you put units on Disband, they will slowly send their strength back up to STAVKA/OKH.

The second screenshot shows the Replacements Received window from the STATS/REGIME STATISTICS buttons.

The second number shows the replacement points received to the actual unit. For example, OKH in your screenshot received 13 steps of stuff. You can see what that stuff is under Reports, Replacements received. It will also include any Returns from units that don't require the steps, and for OKH, any card play that adds replacement points.

The First number is the amount of replacement points tallied that all the subordinates recieved.

If you click the Replacement requested button...(my favourite) Then the first number is a what the units need to reach full strength (including subordinates, so for OKH it is the entire map of forces for the Axis), and the second number is the amount they are asking for. Note that an HQ is asking for points for itself to pass on to immediate subordinates, as well as for itself.

To make it a bit clearer....

1st Panzer Army received 23 steps.....

Those steps were received by its subordinates.....XIV Corp (and i'ts subordinates), III Corps (and it's subordinates)..and sum to 23.

Note that III Corp received 5 steps for its subordinates...4 for 14th panzer, and 1 for 16th panzer. The III Corp HQ counter received 8 steps.
