Hi guys,

We appreciate very much the work of all members of the TOAD team and the community in helping us improve TOAW to date and we're also interested in your feedback on where we should go with TOAW in the future.

Regards,

This shot would seem appropriate. I also wonder if Baghdad Bob has anything to say on the matter.

237 TOAW III fans signed the petition and I am not pursuing my Kharkov '43 project atm. Instead I am stuck at the Ostfront in major operations (PBEM) versus my trust Scotsman, Uncle Roger, who is a worthy opponent. Real pity about the months I went through tons of material to update the TO&E... for KH'43.

Guys,

Do not lose faith.

Best wishes,

fogger -> RE: Status of TOAW (5/17/2013 10:18:37 AM)

Is it possible for someone to us an update

BigDuke66 -> RE: Status of TOAW (5/17/2013 5:42:19 PM)

I bet they would if there were any news, simply "All Quiet on the Western Front".

fogger -> RE: Status of TOAW (5/25/2013 5:24:19 AM)

To Erik or anybody on the TOAW development team,
Is it possible for someone to give us an update? Any news even if it is nothing has happened since last update is better than nothing.

cheers
John

Jo van der Pluym -> RE: Status of TOAW (8/15/2013 5:41:30 AM)

What does one hand clapping sound like? It sounds like the progress being made with TOAW 3.5. [>:]

Good news are that Kapitan Kloss is working on a ignore-losses bug fix; currently testing his latest beta. So far it's doing more than OK. I'd be happy if you Goldie and another TOAW lad could test my Kharkov '43. It's nearly done and it has been tested by my fellow Germans for ages.

Shazman -> RE: Status of TOAW (9/25/2013 11:13:38 AM)

Any news?

The communication between Matrix and it's TOAW fans is the best in the gaming industry. Constant update on the status of patches and upgrades coming down the line. Little blurbs about who is doing what. Testers letting the fan base know how cool the new stuff is. It's just super to be a part of such a caring and well oiled machine.

Hey, I can dream can't I?

Shazman,

you might be aware that parts of the community and fans are working day and night (literally) to use whatever resources at hand to improve the scenarios and the game itself, even though we might not notice it. Personally, I am confident about the further development of TOAW III, one way or another. So, you should contact Kapitan Kloss and join us in testing the latest 'fixes', what do you say?

Jo van der Pluym -> RE: Status of TOAW (10/5/2013 10:34:41 PM)

Now Ralph does about 2 months does regular login. Is there all some news about 3.5?

Lobster -> RE: Status of TOAW (10/6/2013 10:07:02 AM)

Communication with Matrix for anyone asking about this game is poor at best. Don't expect an answer. As for a tester. Maybe you could get one to send you a personal email if you know who they are.

Telumar -> RE: Status of TOAW (10/6/2013 1:40:19 PM)

I am a tester. It's just that maybe we (or i ) are too tired to repeatedly post the same, disappointing answer: We know as much as you.

Curtis Lemay -> RE: Status of TOAW (10/6/2013 3:27:50 PM)

Ralph continues to log in almost every day, but his last post remains 9/3/2012. 13 months and counting.

BigDuke66 -> RE: Status of TOAW (10/6/2013 5:21:55 PM)

I wonder if there is any background "games" rolling, I guess he gets payed for is work or?
So maybe someone wants to rise his value to get more out, or something at all as he surely won't get paid for doing nothing(afaik).

So the guy who is supposed to be working on the next patch logs in often but it's not to work on this game because the guys who are testing the patches are not getting anything to test?

It would seem they have him working on something else and ignoring this community and it's needs. :(

Oh well... at least The Wargamer allowed me to write an article why I, like all of us, think TOAW III is still a gem!

(BTW, those guys in PDL fórums write the bests AARs I have ever seen)

Great article. I hope someone important reads it

Excellent article! [:)] TAOW has a uniquely devoted following. [sm=character0267.gif] Thank you to all who help keep it alive.

If TAOW III had cost $100.00, it would still be a great buy. Thank you Curtiss, Larry, Herr Oberst and many others who donate mucho time and effort to keep it going. [&o][&o][&o]!

Apparently my fellow German compatriots at the SI-Forum likes it, too and I was asked by the head-honcho of 'Der Stratege', to translate it into my native tongue and publish it there, too. I'll furthermore continue to contribute to TWG, touching various aspects of TOAW, such as scenario design, 'modding', research, etc.

Great effort towards Toaw visibility. Congrats.

I would have included one Toaw master piece among the other examples you rightly used: https://sites.google.com/site/vietnamcombatoperations/Home

Not my cup of tea in terms of war theatre/period but unavoidable is terms of design profissionalism, don't you think?

Sadly the series has not been continued or adapted for 3.4. Is Stephane still into TOAW?

Indeed! [&o]

Maybe something for future articles. Also it may not hurt to loose a word or two about Snefens Operation Neva scenario. This is more 'Ostfront' than WitE will ever become..

Lobster -> RE: Status of TOAW (10/16/2013 10:10:54 PM)

If you want to see a huge on going project with TOAW as it's core look at this:

http://operationbarbarossa.net/

Mr. Askey is using TOAW as the model for his series. This is very good stuff. I bought the first volume. Exceptional work. TOAW is not dead, just stuck in the mud.

Once you get in TOAW you can never get out... apart from some Canadians... [8|]
