Shadow Tiger -> RE: Distant Worlds: Shadows Updated to 1.9.0.3 (5/31/2013 12:43:20 AM)

Just bought and downloading now. Looking forward to giving this a try now the we can do fun stuff like capture ships/stations, upgrade stations and the pirates have gone from annoying flies to something awesome.

Erik Rutins -> RE: Distant Worlds: Shadows Updated to 1.9.0.4 (6/1/2013 1:06:39 AM)

Updates to 1.9.0.4

ASHBERY76 -> RE: Distant Worlds: Shadows Updated to 1.9.0.4 (6/1/2013 1:35:24 AM)

Link busted.

Erik Rutins -> RE: Distant Worlds: Shadows Updated to 1.9.0.4 (6/1/2013 1:39:19 AM)

It just takes time to propagate to all the mirrors world-wide. Give it another try in 15-30 and it should be on the European mirror.

OTHER
- can now toggle auto/manual retrofit for private base designs (i.e. mining stations) in designs screen

Not fixed in 1.9.0.4

Erik Rutins -> RE: Distant Worlds: Shadows Updated to 1.9.0.4 (6/2/2013 4:23:00 PM)

Not at all or still not working in some more subtle way?

TrooperCooper -> RE: Distant Worlds: Shadows Updated to 1.9.0.4 (6/2/2013 5:04:13 PM)

It works to switch it by clicking it in the design main window (the list with all designs). But when you open the design (where you can actually modify a single design), the drop-down menu ("Default Retrofit Stance") is still greyed out and cant be changed.

Still unable to toggle auto-retrofit setting for the specified designs.

Yes, this is the case. I didn't know you could toggle with the main design window. Toggling should be possible with both methods.

BUG FIXES
- fixed bug where design templates that specify phaser weapons would instead sometimes produce designs with pulse blasters or rail guns (even when phasers available)

Not fixed. Description of problem and uploaded save demonstrating issue here.

Why two threads for 1.9.0.4?

Updated to 1.9.0.5

Buio -> RE: Distant Worlds: Shadows Updated to 1.9.0.4 (6/6/2013 6:36:25 PM)

Thanks, good to see continued fast updates.

Lucian -> RE: Distant Worlds: Shadows Updated to 1.9.0.4 (6/6/2013 6:50:20 PM)

Love the fix-list for 1.9.0.5, that's a very long list of extremely annoying problems fixed. Thanks to the team for listening to fan feedback and making the changes so quickly. Well done! :)

PIRATES
- pirate protection agreement costs better matched to empire cashflow (i.e. ability to pay)

Mmmhhh, I think there's a serious problem with that one. With 1.9.0.4 pirates used to rape me and my wallet, it was insane but nothing surprising, I wasn't supposed to be anything but a cash cow for them.

Since I've installed 1.9.0.5 in less than half an hour I've had 2 pirate factions proposing to PAY ME for a truce, that doesn't make any sense ! [X(]

Er does this mean there is no longer a reason for base capture?

FerretStyle -> RE: Distant Worlds: Shadows Updated to 1.9.0.3 (6/7/2013 2:30:26 AM)

Will a .4 game loaded into .5 benefit from these particular crash fixes?
(In the middle of a game that's been going on for 250 years and having a lot of crashes...)

Bingeling -> RE: Distant Worlds: Shadows Updated to 1.9.0.3 (6/7/2013 9:28:20 AM)

As long as your crashes are among those that are fixed, sure it will help.

Impossible to answer with any guarantee - if any of the fixed crashes happen to due a chain of events that can be put into a savegame, it might still cause them.

Andrew Loveridge -> RE: Distant Worlds: Shadows Updated to 1.9.0.6 (6/14/2013 8:31:49 PM)

Now updated to 1.9.0.6

Azuran -> RE: Distant Worlds: Shadows Updated to 1.9.0.3 (6/14/2013 8:57:51 PM)

You made my day!

I had the following error when I updated from 1.9.04 to 1.9.05 when I would click Start New Game:

error:system.argumentexception: datagridviewcomboboxcell value is not valid.

Updating to Microsoft Framework 4.5 and 1.9.06 fixed this error. I am quite happy, I was going crazy. :)

-Windows 7 64bit

DeadlyShoe -> RE: Distant Worlds: Shadows Updated to 1.9.0.3 (6/14/2013 9:11:43 PM)

Great looking patch!

Thanks guys :)

Cauldyth -> RE: Distant Worlds: Shadows Updated to 1.9.0.3 (6/14/2013 9:17:07 PM)

Oh man, you guys just made my weekend. Great that armour was fixed, but also:

Thank you!!

1.9.0.6 has a sweet list of fixes [&o]

joeyeti -> RE: Distant Worlds: Shadows Updated to 1.9.0.3 (6/14/2013 9:33:50 PM)

Does someone have a screenshot of that Pirate mission window enhancement?

TrooperCooper -> RE: Distant Worlds: Shadows Updated to 1.9.0.3 (6/14/2013 9:44:19 PM)

0.6 sounds awesome. Thanks for the hard work! :-)

Larsenex -> RE: Distant Worlds: Shadows Updated to 1.9.0.3 (6/14/2013 11:33:36 PM)

Great Job guys! [&o]

tevans6220 -> RE: Distant Worlds: Shadows Updated to 1.9.0.3 (6/15/2013 6:31:57 AM)

Might be a nice patch but at present I really don't know. I can't download the thing. The link doesn't work.

Bingeling -> RE: Distant Worlds: Shadows Updated to 1.9.0.3 (6/15/2013 7:45:59 AM)

The easiest is to update from the game launcher.

If you don't get the file on download, make sure to refresh the page. It may also not hurt to ctrl-F5 to refresh it, as that should force a reload and not just a cashed copy.
