This is an early win for the Allies, but in my opinion it can mostly be traced back to Barbaroussa and the spring mud - a game changing oversight to be sure. Mark did an excellent job of working with what he had but was basically in an impossible situation after Barbaroussa and the spring mud. Once the Red Army chewed through the fortified units, initial reserves and expanded the front any reserves he threw into the path of the Red Army was like a drop in a bucket.

Congrats with your overwhelming victory, and I'm glad Mark played till the end.

Thanks. Playing to the end is just how Mark rolls. We started another game together of Fabio's Europe 44 (Mark as Allies) and it has been intense, epic bloodletting straight out of the gate. We're only on week 6 and the Germans have lost 22 weeks of infantry replacements... at present loss rates every single infantryman in the German army will be dead within 12 weeks. This is with only one Axis corps (and maybe two brigades?) being destroyed out of supply - everything else is straight up combat losses, mano a mano. Regardless, it's been a very interesting game so far!

AAR for that one is coming, so stay tuned.

Thanks for the AAR and gratulations for your glorious victory! [&o] Very well done, a bit sad, that Barbarossa never got steam, but hey - millions of lifes spared ;)
The main problem with this scenario is the dig-in-houserule, which can be read in many different ways. However, still a very interesting scenario, thanks again :)

EA never had main problems... as many people know this is probably the best TOAW scenario ever created.

Now, after the release of Opart3XBb.exe, it at its very best...

Played under Opart3XBb.exe no need for any "dig-in-houserules". We're back to the old time playing flow and pleasure...
