OK, so I finally entered the 21st century and bought a 60" plasma with full regalia. What (war) movie should christen this baby (that I can download from Amazon or the like)?

Zulu! should only be watched if you watch Zulu Dawn beforehand. I highly reccomend them though. Both are excellent and historically accurate.

Ok, so let me restate the ground rules. There are kids in the house, and poppin in the oldest profession - well I cant do that at least until they go to bed.

Why not "Saving Private Ryan" on Blue Ray; "The Pacific" or "Band of Brothers" are also treated well with Blue Ray technology.

Gettysburg. My all time favorite movie ever made, or a Diane Lane movie..either should suffice.

I second Chicken boy's recomendations!!...you must however eject wife and kids from house if you have full surround sound, or, look for a good divorce lawyer.
