KF,

Can you normally open a PNG image file? What scenario were you trying to play? Have you tried another scenario? Can you test the game with a different language setting to see if it works?

Sorry for this issue. Hopefully we can resolve it quickly.

Capn,

Hi KF,

I have the same issue and I solved it by changing the system locale of windows to English(US), please refer to the attached screen capture to set the system locale.

It is a great game, (so great that I took the time to solve the issue instead of just dump the game) but by programming technique it is very outdated, it still use character code page instead of UTF, and still cannot behave well in newer windows with non-admin user.

K.F. and wbn, thanks for the information that will help us resolve this issue. For now you have found a work around using the English setting. I'll will pass this information along to our lead programmer for an in-game solution.

Sorry for the inconvenience.
