CV60 -> RE: Updated DB image & description packs are available! (1/1/2015 11:53:02 PM)

Hm. Can you tell me what database and what the system number (ie, Aircraft___ABCD) that you show as missing? There still are a number of systems that don't have images yet, particularly in the CWDB. However, I think we have the A-6 pretty well covered. DId you go to
http://www.warfaresims.com/?page_id=1876
and get your image pack from there, or from somewhere else? Do you have images located in both the DB3000 and CWDB folder?

DerSonderweg -> RE: Updated DB image & description packs are available! (1/2/2015 1:19:00 AM)

I see images in both locations. And I did download it from the link you indicated. I'm not showing the A-6 ingame, but I see it in the folder. Aircraft_3325 through Aircraft_3331. Are there other image packs out there that I should be getting as supplements?

ClaudeJ -> RE: Updated DB image & description packs are available! (1/2/2015 1:33:23 AM)

Could you please mention what folder you have them in and the path to it?

As for other image packs, you could have them if you decide so to but none that you really should have, as far as I know.

CV60 -> RE: Updated DB image & description packs are available! (1/2/2015 11:07:20 AM)

If you got the download from
http://www.warfaresims.com/?page_id=1876

The A-6 images you are missing are there. Check and see if the CWDB and DB3000 image folders should total around 1.7 GB of data. (I'm going off memory here). Do your two packages combined add up to approximately this much? As far as I know, there are no other image packages you need to add. I combine virtually all images that are brought to my attention into the master pack you have uploaded. The A-6 aircraft numbers were in the most recently released CWDB package. If you downloaded the most recent image pack, my suspicion is that somehow the images were accidentally deleted from your hard drive. Here's what I suggest: There will be a new, comprehensive image package released very soon for both the DB3000 and CWDB databases. While it does not contain images of every system, it will fill some of the existing gaps. Rather than re-download a 1.6 Gb file, that will be replaced in a matter of days by a 1.8 Gb file, wait until the new package is available, download it and let me know if you still have the same problem.

As Jan Masterson mentioned, you also may have a path issue. Can you provide the exact path to your image folder, starting with the drive letter. The image files are very particular about where they need to be in order to be reached by the game. :

Hey guys, I'm new to this game and would like to download and incorporate these enhanced data bases into the game. The problem is the d/l link above isn't working for me. I click on the link and am taken to a website that has the name of the file and the word "download" but when I click on download nothing happens.

What am I doing wrong?

Any help is appreciated!

gsmart04 -> RE: Updated DB image & description packs are available! (1/3/2015 9:07:47 PM)

Never mind guys. The download website is working today. I guess they went down for a spell yesterday.

SSN754planker -> RE: Updated DB image & description packs are available! (1/10/2015 9:34:35 PM)

CV60....do you have an ETA on when the next DB picture pack will be released?

CV60 -> RE: Updated DB image & description packs are available! (1/10/2015 9:44:34 PM)

I've supplied it to the developers. I suspect right now they are busy coding the next batch of awesomeness, so they probably haven't gotten a chance to post it yet.[;)]

SSN754planker -> RE: Updated DB image & description packs are available! (1/11/2015 8:17:58 PM)

trust me, whats coming is awesome

bssybeep -> RE: Updated DB image & description packs are available! (1/12/2015 1:38:23 AM)

I'm attempting to download the Map Overlays for the community scenarios and running into a problem. When I click the download link it takes me to google drive at which point I attempt to extract it using zip extractor. After a bit of processing, I get an "extract now" button and it gives me an upload (too many recent requests) error.

Is there a mirror for this file? thanks

bssybeep -> RE: Updated DB image & description packs are available! (1/12/2015 1:43:51 AM)

Additional question. After installing the latest community scenario pack in /scenarios/community, I noticed a scenarios/standard scenarios folder. Does that folder contain the stock scenarios that come with the game? (I think I accidently extracted the previous community scenario pack into that folder). Should it be deleted? thanks

Casinn -> RE: Updated DB image & description packs are available! (1/12/2015 7:28:39 AM)

You can add extra directories in there if you want to organize scenarios however you'd like.
example http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=3770627

The download error happens sometimes, working for me right now.

Here's an unofficial mirror to get the Community Overlays Package from: http://11rdp.fr/Community Overlays Package release 003.zip (88.5 Mb)

I personally don't have that "standard", all scens are "Scenarios\Community" (without any subfolder), "Scenarios\Standalone Scenarios" and "Scenarios\Tutorials". However, as Casinn said, extra folders ain't harmful, you can have some or not.

Hope it helps! ;)

bssybeep -> RE: Updated DB image & description packs are available! (1/12/2015 7:20:34 PM)

Thanks for the replies guys and for the info on the scenario directory structure. Yeah, I figured I would just keep both.

Also, the unofficial link worked.

thanks again

netjam99 -> RE: Updated DB image & description packs are available! (1/14/2015 11:52:28 PM)

Works great! After the download was a snap to install.

Dimitris -> RE: Updated DB image & description packs are available! (1/15/2015 6:16:59 AM)

ClaudeJ -> RE: Updated DB image & description packs are available! (1/15/2015 6:53:40 AM)

Wooot! Thank you Sunburn.

A mirror will be available there in about 40 minutes:
http://warfiles.org/DBImages12-30-14.zip (1,7 Gb)

Edit: It works now, there was a typo, thanks Oliver23 for the heads up.

ScottGridley -> RE: Updated DB image & description packs are available! (1/15/2015 11:53:40 AM)

Thanks for the update all!

SSN754planker -> RE: Updated DB image & description packs are available! (1/15/2015 2:20:58 PM)

Amazing job with all of this! Can you give us a quick run down of whats new?

Superlative job on all of this. This is a huge immersion factor addon for Command. Ive been using this since the first release, but now it is so huge it is hard to tell whats been added!

ClaudeJ -> RE: Updated DB image & description packs are available! (1/15/2015 2:51:28 PM)

Hundreds of new pics (not a figure of speech) either to illustrate platforms better or even to illustrate platforms at all.

RealChuckB -> RE: Updated DB image & description packs are available! (1/15/2015 8:28:55 PM)

Quick question: After the reading the instructions many times I'm still not sure if I need to run the exe that is part of the package or if copying all the files to the correct folders is sufficient - can anyone shed some light on this?

The pics make a huge difference, so thanks a lot for providing this, I really appreciate it!

CV60 -> RE: Updated DB image & description packs are available! (1/16/2015 3:21:00 AM)

Just replace your current image folder with the contents of the new download. There was no .exe included with this package. I probably forgot to update the README from an earlier version.

Thanks for your reply - you are correct, the latest version (which I just downloaded) doesn't have the exe anymore, so everything is clear

Thank you Sunburn, and thanks also to Jan for providing a mirror site...unfortunately, Google Drives and my computer do NOT always get along.

Great job guys! Is there some way I can contribute towards this mod? I spent a bit of time sorting out a few images for my own install that could be good to share.

Send your pics to CV60, he's the one who sort them out.

A couple of wee errors:

Weapon #743 - FIM-92C Stinger RMP
Weapon #734 - FIM-92D Stinger RMP

Both of these show the image and description for the MIM-23 Hawk [;)]
