Ron Saueracker -> Any plans for Naval Combat Improvements for the Babes? (10/21/2013 10:50:08 PM)

Hi Babesmensch! Seeing as much has been done to the air model I was wondering if there are any plans to alter the naval models, aside from the much improved ASW, capacities and some UI tweaks like patrol zones?

As the Griper from WITP dev days I've always hoped for a better combat model than the 18th century line of battle whitewash we currently have that has BBs inevitably slugging it out at 2000 yards regardless of radar, screening ships, daylight etc. Like a bad Kung Fu movie[:D] Unfortunately the big kahunas nixed any real improvements proposed due to financial restrictions, deadlines what have you. But as much has been improved with AE I was just wondering perhaps now something could be done considering the overwhelming naval aspects.

I've always thought ship crews should be modelled as squads are in LCUs instead of having ships merely being inanimate devices devoid of crews aside from some crew exp rating. Would definitely increase ship VPs amog other impacts.

Unfortunately, not goodnik. All we can do, after market, is dink with data. Can't do anything with executable code.[:(] Sorry Ron.

Dude … if you only knew. It is kinda like the US in 1900, but with all the modern bells and whistles. Northern Patagonia is .. pastoral. I have a broadband connection, an International cellphone, for half of a US local landline, and a satellite receiver. Also have a horse.

My place is some 16 odd kms outside of Puerto Varas, on Route 225. Everybody owns a car of course (of one sort or another), but if you just want to mosey over to the neighbors for dinner or a friendly chat over a bottle of vino tinto, you saddle up and ride. Even M’Cools, the Irish pub in Varas, has a hitching post outside, and the local Eddie Bauer store has a blacksmith out back.

Nobody I know has a lawnmower. The Alfieris, who live behind my property, keep goats and sheep, and since I’m not living there at the moment, their little animals get some free range. You have no idea how beautiful a lawn can look without a flock of sheep and goat caretakers (but take care of plantings, they are hungry little creatures).

I’m not quite a Chilean yet. Have to stay in the US for a while. Mom is struggling with Obamacare as it is. She is 87, stroked out, and on top of the “death panel” list. But, I’m kinda thinking she ought to stay and get the bennys, until it’s time. After that, we are Chilean.

[ed] I get down there at least once a year, twice if I can swing it.

There are a lot of good reasons to ditch American citizenship nowadays. Unfortunately, becoming a Korean isn't a good option. Singaporean, however...

Cheers,
