You are right it initially was ponting in the wrong one. I re-directed it and saved it. I think in the screenshot it should be correct. Will double check. I did have two copies installed. I wonder maybe an uninstall of Sea Hag and reinstall it again now there is only one copy on the drive......Thanks for your insight bomber!

Anyone getting a Unhandled Exception has occurred in your application error when saving the settings? I'm using Windows 10
Thanks

Lowlaner2012 -> RE: [RELEASED] Speech and Ambient Sound Module - Updated CMANO 678 (5/13/2016 10:50:04 AM)

Weird, I'm running it on Windows 10 and module is working fine for me...

cdcool -> RE: [RELEASED] Speech and Ambient Sound Module - Updated CMANO 678 (5/13/2016 10:57:27 AM)

Yeah..I get the error when I hit save settings

Lowlaner2012 -> RE: [RELEASED] Speech and Ambient Sound Module - Updated CMANO 678 (5/13/2016 11:44:28 AM)

Just a thought, have you tried running the module as the administrator....

cdcool -> RE: [RELEASED] Speech and Ambient Sound Module - Updated CMANO 678 (5/13/2016 12:17:03 PM)

Yep..tried that
What voice are you using? you have to buy additional voices?

AlGrant -> RE: [RELEASED] Speech and Ambient Sound Module - Updated CMANO 678 (5/13/2016 2:12:18 PM)

I'm using Windows 10 and default voices.
Not noticed any issue but been a while since I changed/saved settings ..... will check again tonight.

Lowlaner2012 -> RE: [RELEASED] Speech and Ambient Sound Module - Updated CMANO 678 (5/13/2016 3:02:06 PM)

Yes 2 default voices, a male and female...

For me the speech module really adds a lot of atmosphere to the game :-)

cdcool -> RE: [RELEASED] Speech and Ambient Sound Module - Updated CMANO 678 (5/13/2016 5:37:23 PM)

It's pretty cool, wish there were more choices for the voice

cdcool -> RE: [RELEASED] Speech and Ambient Sound Module - Updated CMANO 678 (5/14/2016 3:29:59 AM)

I get the error when I add other wav files or mp3 files for additional sounds and try to save them. I have to reinstall/set all my additional sounds every time I start SeaHag, won't save.

You have to buy it. They give you an installer. Just install and Seahag recognizes it.

cdcool -> RE: [RELEASED] Speech and Ambient Sound Module - Updated CMANO 678 (5/16/2016 4:40:47 AM)

Okay thanks

magi -> RE: [RELEASED] Speech and Ambient Sound Module - Updated CMANO 678 (5/18/2016 1:18:24 AM)

i am currently using version f... the thing is it works.... soooo i hesitant to change.... what gain is there in version i.....?

ColonelMolerat -> RE: [RELEASED] Speech and Ambient Sound Module - Updated CMANO 678 (6/17/2016 2:03:02 AM)

Edit:

I had a problem, but solved it after a few restarts.

SeaHag didn't like my computer's 24-hour time format.

For some reason, changing it as suggested in this thread didn't work at first, but I got it eventually. I think I'm just tired!

Looking forward to testing this out when I'm more awake. It's sounding pretty cool so far.

How did you buy it? I must be dense as I can't figure out how to buy it. Never mind I figured it out. Always happens when I post a question!

pandoraefretum -> RE: [RELEASED] Speech and Ambient Sound Module - Updated CMANO 678 (9/16/2016 2:38:36 AM)

Does anyone know how I can buy and install acapela Graham voice? which is the best one in my opinion

Foxendown -> RE: [RELEASED] Speech and Ambient Sound Module - Updated CMANO 678 (10/28/2016 1:07:03 PM)

Are many people still using this? I've just tried it out and really boosts immersion, excellent work. Unfortunately, I can't stop the logfiles for both sides being read out. I have tried entering my side manually and leaving it to auto, but it happens every time, I get the lot. Can anyone help?

yes its quite popular.... i used to have that problem... but now its fine.... im using version F.... i hear H is ok too... if its an issue.. you can clear the log window before starting....

Foxendown -> RE: [RELEASED] Speech and Ambient Sound Module - Updated CMANO 678 (10/29/2016 6:48:27 PM)

Thanks for that. It started to work perfectly after I set compatibility for Windows XP SP3. It's really great to use, some amusing mis-pronunciations but otherwise great for immersion.

Sybaris -> RE: [RELEASED] Speech and Ambient Sound Module - Updated CMANO 678 (11/25/2016 1:29:05 AM)

Just downloaded and started using Seahag today. I used Hazel from MS but bought Audrey UK from ATT, sounds smoother and not so digital.

Have made some changes to the speech file to be more militarily accurate.

Great addition to the game!!

Sybaris -> RE: [RELEASED] Speech and Ambient Sound Module - Updated CMANO 678 (11/26/2016 3:55:20 AM)

A couple good lengthy sound files. You'll have to go on Youtube and search for them because I don't have permission to post links yet:

Aircraft Carrier Communications - Military Aviation Scanner Audio

Navy SSC - Military Aviation Scanner Audio. This one is especially good because it's several SSC missions so you don't always hear the same voices and there are various types of units being identified, military as well as commercial. Also at various times the other sound files pop in so it is a pretty close approximation of the ambient chatter you would hear over various comm circuits in a CIC.

Sybaris -> RE: [RELEASED] Speech and Ambient Sound Module - Updated CMANO 678 (11/26/2016 2:08:08 PM)

To help others get the game to sound more realistic I think it would be a good idea for current and former military members to provide input to a list of modified word/phrases for SeaHag and pin it to this section. For instance a couple of the changes I made were:

Tu-95RT .... Tee You Ninety Five

I also added the English alphabet with their NATO phonetically spoken words:

A.... Alfa
B.... Bravo
C.... Charlie
D.... Delta

So now when SeaHag sees Tu-95RT Bear D it doesn't say "Too Nine Five Are Tee Bear Dee" it says "Tee You Ninety Five Bear Delta"

Among others there's a lot of weapons terms that need to be changed

I'm not too HTML savvy but does anyone know if you can pin something like Excel and members just add to it?

Sybaris,
What version of Seahag are you using?

Sybaris -> RE: [RELEASED] Speech and Ambient Sound Module - Updated CMANO 678 (12/6/2016 9:26:50 PM)

v1.0i

pandoraefretum -> RE: [RELEASED] Speech and Ambient Sound Module - Updated CMANO 678 (12/6/2016 9:30:55 PM)

Well, as I couldn't install Graham,
I bought Cerevoice William for a British English Male Voice...
It's really good and weighty... I have Audrey too, and very soothing voice it is, but William adds depth and drama !

Nat1486 -> RE: [RELEASED] Speech and Ambient Sound Module - Updated CMANO 678 (12/7/2016 8:09:02 AM)

I start it before CMANO saved the default settings and started a scenario Seahag detects a new file etc however i dont hear any speech - at intervals i hear a teletype noise but still no speech. I suspect its me not ticking a box somewhere but no idea where - appreciate anay help
Nat

Sybaris -> RE: [RELEASED] Speech and Ambient Sound Module - Updated CMANO 678 (12/7/2016 11:13:58 PM)

Nat, when I had that issue I had to do this:

In Windows Go to Change the date, time, or number format
Then
Format English (United Kingdom)
Short date: dd/MM/yyyy
Long date: dd MMMM yyyy
Short time: hh:mm tt
Long time: h:mm:ss tt
First day of week: Monday
