Ok so my old laptop has died on me and I have this game on it, is there a way to redownload without paying? I have the CD key from when I purchased it and the recipt email so is it possible to get a new download link? However I am using windows 8.1 is the game even compatible with it?

Hi, take a look at this page: http://www.matrixgames.com/support/browse.asp?id=1 I've lost my .exe files of Rise of Prussia, I followed the istructions that I found at this link (ID 8, I asked for new download link by 'Help Desk') and they give me another download link in ten minutes. Hope this can help you.

I am using Windows 8.1 and run the game in Vista compatible mode with no problems.

New problem, the game seems very clunky and slow compared to my old version is there any reason for that?

seems only to work well in windows mode, oh well its manageable i guess
