So playing my first game vs the AI as the Allies (Guadalcanal) having played UV extensively and some things are just throwing me for a loop. 1. Mines for the Minelayers - after laying my first minefield, I can't seem to locate new mines anywhere: not Noumea, Brisbane or Sydney. Where do I find a relead for my DMs? 2. Logistics are killing me, far worse than I thought. I can keep the forward bases supplied, like Lunga, etc., but all the bases along the northen Aussie coast, etc., just can't get enough supplies, no matter what I do, and the small amount that comes into Noumea and Sydney each turn is not enough to keep everything going. I've stopped expanding facilities many places, but it's not helping. I have tons of troops, planes and ships sitting around I can't use because of supply problems. 3. Same goes for PPs. Almost all the LCUs are attached to restricted HQs, and I can never get enough PPs to switch them to the only free HQ I have, the South Pacific. How to deal with this? 4. Where are the Allied transport planes? No C-47s at this point? 5. I ran out of torpedoes for my CAGs at one point as well and had to go to Sydney to reload. Is there a way to get these forward to Noumea? Or a way to know if I am out at Noumea? I looked for AEs, but I don't have any yet. Would Tracker help? I realize that some of these problems might be built into the scenario, since it's only November 1942 and the AI has taken a beating (I never lost Milne Bay and have already secured the Russells on top of Lunga and Tulagi) and the AI seems wimpy so far, so maybe the game wants to make sure I don't steamroller the opposition too fast to keep it somewhat in line with historical reality, but I'm not sure. Any suggestions? Thanks for your help!
