Sound problems with units

After installing Win 8.1 I´ve problems with the sound you hear for unit movement and battles. Music is ok. Can you help me?

I know I always have the issue of having to manually click in the Pref on the music and special effects buttons to put them back on - otherwise I'd be playing without music and fx... Try clicking them at every game start?
