Orm -> RE: Lets talk tea... again. (9/16/2014 3:15:01 PM)

Life is good. [:)]

I just brewed a white, green premium tea blend.

Reading up on what happens politically after the election in Sweden and reading a nice thread about what happens in Scotland and UK. Just hope that the thread stay open for a long while since there seems to be much for me to learn here.

[sm=character0267.gif]

A cup of steaming afternoon tea. Life is grand. [:)]

warspite1 -> RE: Lets talk tea... again. (9/16/2014 3:22:00 PM)

Can you are me one please Orm, I'm trying to write a report and it's really boring......

Orm -> RE: Lets talk tea... again. (9/16/2014 3:29:02 PM)

Have a cup of this splendid tea, warspite1.

Your report might not be more fun to write but you will feel grand when writing it.

Maybe you want a home made cookie with the tea? They are as close to heaven as you can get on this planet.

Luvverrrlllyy - the perfect tonic. I shall return to my report writing with vigour! [:)]

Orm -> RE: Lets talk tea... again. (11/2/2014 9:36:29 AM)

I just brewed my third pot of tea for the day. [:)]

I do wish that I had a Grumpy mug to use since I feel cheerful when just by anticipation of that tea. [:D]

warspite1 -> RE: Lets talk tea... again. (11/2/2014 9:39:48 AM)

......which leads me to two things.

a) I have only had 1 cuppa this morning [X(]. Will have to go get another immediately
b) Does everyone have a favourite mug? If so what is it and why?

I think a Sunday morning should be reserved for the important questions in life.

Indeed. I've been pondering on if my decision to declare war on Greece in our MWIF game was not a really bad call. Way to early for my comfort.

I have a cup from Russia that I got as a gift and it is almost like a piece of art. So I do not use it and it stands on a shelf in my bookcase.

Otherwise I just have regular cups that I use. And a lot of regular cups that I do not use because i do not like how they feel when I use them.

rhondabrwn -> RE: Lets talk tea... again. (11/2/2014 7:27:20 PM)

Decades ago... I bought 8 cobalt blue mugs at a Dollar store. For some strange reason, my perfect cuppa always seems to be with those mugs. Over the years the set has been reduced to only two remaining mugs which I treasure carefully. It may be that the mugs are the perfect size to be sweetened with exactly two teaspoons of sugar or stevia.

Others have suggested that since they were cheap mugs, they are probably leaching lead into the tea! If so, could it be that the "leaded tea" has a higher "octane" and resultant "kick"?

One wonders....

Josh -> RE: Lets talk tea... again. (11/3/2014 7:28:39 AM)

Two teaspoons of sugar...she says. Not wanting to offend, just my personal taste, but tea doesn't need sugar. It totally destroys the flavour. Good tea doesn't need anything, maybe just a drop of milk, maybe, that's it really.

Just try drinking tea without [cough]sugar[/blegh] for a week or two, to get used to the taste, you never want tea with sugar again!

goodwoodrw -> RE: Lets talk tea... again. (11/3/2014 11:32:49 AM)

Josh, I'm on your side no sugar and only a hint of milk.
I use to drink tea with 2 spoons of sugar, a few years ago I was diagnosed with Diabetes, and had to give up sugar and discovered how good tea really tastes.

That's why I only use Stevia these days.

There is a perfect spot for me when drinking tea between too sweet and not enough... hard to hit it... back to my Blue Mug comment.

I drink various herbal and desert blends without added sweetner but I've got a sweet tooth... which is probably why I'm diabetic (plus the genetics) [:D]

Can't stand "black coffee" either LOL

Yep, I'm definitely not an expert when it comes to beverages [&:]

Edit: Oh, and I like to eat Milk Chocolate baking chips with my tea. I measure out 1 oz of chips and then let them dissolve one at a time under my tongue as the hot tea goes down. I quit buying candy bars because it is easier to restrict sugar consumption eating one tiny chip at a time in measured quantities. You know how they talk about people getting addicted to having a cigarette with their coffee... with me it's chocolate with my tea. Goes back to childhood.

I have no idea... just clicked on it and the page was gone :( I can't locate a lot of those pictures either... backed up on a CD somewhere I suspect.

Update: They went out of business in 2012, content of my website is gone forever :(

Yeah that's the danger of digital media isn't it? Once it's gone it's gone. Forever. If you have a photo on good quality paper it'll last you forever. Put it away in a book, forget about it for 30-40-50 years, once you find it again it still is as new as the first time you saw that photograph. Not so with digital media, miss an upgrade or two and all pictures, films and what not, probably are gone. [:(]

Zap -> RE: Lets talk tea... again. (11/5/2014 4:22:57 PM)

Not a great tea drinker but I enjoy mine with honey for a sweetener. Or flavored teas (like raspberry. Cold weather countries, probably enjoy tea more. Nothing like a hot cup off tea to warm the bones.

Time for a cup of evening tea and the next episode of Downtown Abbey. [:)]

Orm -> RE: Lets talk tea... again. (12/13/2014 10:21:32 AM)

After having a relaxed morning with 4-5 cups of tea and playing MWIF it is time to do some errands. Lots to do before Christmas. [:)]

Coffee is luxury. Tea is life.

Best wishes,
Steve

Fallschirmjager -> RE: Lets talk tea... again. (12/13/2014 4:28:34 PM)

I use loose tea and use a 'tea ball'
Is it called a tea ball and civilized parts of the world?

I also use a French Press for my coffee when time allows. Typically non work days. Days I work I resort to the Keurig. Not the best cup of coffee but it is good enough with the right pod and fast on days I have to do the corporate grind.

Orm -> RE: Lets talk tea... again. (4/8/2015 1:34:24 PM)

Drinking afternoon tea and eating a kanelbulle while playing MWIF against My Lord Warspite. Life is good. [:)]

Orm -> RE: Lets talk tea... again. (11/1/2015 2:29:28 PM)

I am feeling like a cold is on its way. A bit feverish and a upset stomach. So I just brewed a pot of tea and hope that the tea will calm things down.
