Yeah, i do want input, and i know somewhere deep inside that the way the United States is getting itīs officers atm. is not completely the way I want it. I guess you hit a sore nail, or something. Sorry.

A suggestion, Several very important leaders not only for the US are late arriving by waiting for 4 star rank. Patton and Rommel come to mind. Kesselring I guess was an air officer at first if I remember right and later changed to ground.

Perhaps have some very important leaders arrive before they attained 4 stars.

So far the only player to accept the invitation to join the Dropbox is Hatem. Invites have been sent to Antonio and Twotribes not accepted yet. LJburstan and Jonathan I am still waiting for e-mail addresses to sent invites to.

Twotribes once you accept the invite to join the dropbox folder. The folder should appear in Dropbox. I sent a invite to the e-mail address you sent via PM.

I think the folder is empty because the game hasn't started yet, it will stop being empty when the first player puts his saved turn file in that folder.

Yes placing the first completed turn ie: Germany/Italy into the dropbox name the file GD1938-Game6-Japan-turn 1. You name the turn for the next player in the sequence.

If you start the war in 1939, Austria influenced and Czechoslovakia annexed in 1938

Historically, most of Czechoslovakia wasn't annexed until 1939.
Technically Bohemia and Moravia were made into a "protectorate" with Slovakia given nominal independence.

Granted full annexation of Czechoslovakia did not occur until 1939 but the wheels were in motion in 1938. Tho I guess you could argue that influence amounts to action. But from what I remember German troops were at the border with Sudetenland and tore down the border barriers, the German army being some 700.000 to 800.000 strong in 1938. Point being Germany was gaining territory in 1938.

Simple solution would be for Jonathan to take on Soviet Union I could cover France/UK and we would have a China/USA player

Jonathan China/USA is the normal pairing in a 5 player games, as you know the US was a big supporter of China during the war. France and the UK are a normal pairing as they have to work together closely against the Axis.

No I have had no word from LJBurstan not sice the first posting perhaps he is not aware we have started

If Jonathan has no problem playing the Soviet Union we are good to go.

As a note the Soviets are free to diplomacy the 3 Baltic nations and can diplomacy or attack them and Persia. The Italians are free to diplomacy Albania , the west is free to diplomacy Belgium Netherlands Luxembourg and Poland starting January 1939. Germany can diplomacy Austria, Czech,in 38 and Hungary Rumania and Bulgaria in 39, all bets are off in 40.

China can diplomacy Mongolia as can Russia, Japan can diplomacy Thailand and Mongolia also starting in 38.

If the US wants to risk a delay in activation they are free to diplomacy any central and southern American Country at any time.

Not sure if I was clear on the restrictions.

I wouldn't mind playing the USSR on a temporary basis until you can find a permanent player for it, but I don't feel like committing to both countries as their permanent player right now. There might also be some conflict of interest problems if I take both USSR and China. Is the USSR allowed to provide aid to China as they did historically in 1938?

Sorry Jonathan I did not make myself clear you would only be required to play the Soviet Union. China would revert to USA control, five player games look like this

Axis Germany/Italy
Japan
USSR
France/UK
USA/China

This keeps victory objectives out of immediate control by any power.

Well to include Jonathan we can split USA/china, I probably just have time enough for USA anyway.

although I dont know how this will affect victory objectives, or what happens when a player reaches his objective, does the game stop?

Once objectives are acheived I think that player has acheived victory. Assuming all criteria are met.

Does it end the game or just tell everyone? Some of the Victory conditions depend on time also several must be fulfilled by 1944.
