Not a problem, would require a restart if everyone agrees. If Antonio picks a side France/UK or USA/China. And Jonathan is happy with USSR. If that all falls into place then we are laughing and good to go.

Axis Germany/Italy/Japan Twotribes
USSR Ironduke
France/UK Antonio
USA Hatem
China Jonathan

Twotribes -> RE: GD1938 latest (3/4/2014 5:45:42 AM)

hmm wasnt I usa?

Twotribes -> RE: GD1938 latest (3/4/2014 11:34:36 AM)

Jonathan wants to play China only. So if Antonior has no problem he would move from Japan to France/Britain. I would play Japan.

ironduke1955 -> RE: GD1938 latest (3/4/2014 12:23:31 PM)

I hope that everyone is ok with this line up. Are we playing GD1938 V2.15 ? might as well.

China Jonathan

Twotribes -> RE: GD1938 latest (3/6/2014 3:22:00 AM)

Need a response from everyone, are we good with the changes?

Jonathan Pollard -> RE: GD1938 latest (3/6/2014 7:29:29 AM)

Good with me.

ironduke1955 -> RE: GD1938 latest (3/7/2014 12:32:31 AM)

Antonio sometimes does not check the Forum, once Hatem commits he will follow through, if he wasn't in he would say so. So I would say we are good to go, just need the first turn played.

Twotribes -> RE: GD1938 latest (3/7/2014 2:24:13 AM)

Ok I will do so, does Antonior know who he is?

Twotribes -> RE: GD1938 latest (3/7/2014 3:03:47 AM)

Turn 1 to the soviets is ready and posted

Twotribes -> RE: GD1938 latest (3/7/2014 8:54:32 AM)

If people are not reading the board how will they know of the changes? Antonior thinks he did his turn he was Japan, how does he know he is now France Great Briton?

ironduke1955 -> RE: GD1938 latest (3/7/2014 12:38:25 PM)

I'll send Antonio a e-mail.

France turn 1 in dropbox bon chance

Twotribes -> RE: GD1938 latest (3/8/2014 9:06:40 PM)

Did Antonior answer? France still in drop box.

ironduke1955 -> RE: GD1938 latest (3/8/2014 9:12:40 PM)

No response from Antonio I could play the France/UK turn on the following basis that the USSR/France/UK cannot declare war on a minor or major power and cannot ally with each other until both or all are at war with same enemy, at least we would have a game.

Twotribes -> RE: GD1938 latest (3/8/2014 9:51:27 PM)

I am torn, but Antonio has had several days to respond.

hatemf90 -> RE: GD1938 latest (3/9/2014 11:04:45 AM)

hey guys, sorry but I will have to drop out of the game, I will be a bit more busy the next few weeks and hate to stall the game after it started by not playing.

ironduke1955 -> RE: GD1938 latest (3/9/2014 1:51:02 PM)

Ok we are down to three players, so this game is pretty much a non starter. May be a idea to wait until one or two of the current GD1938 games are completed then jump in quick with the country you want to play.

ironduke1955 -> RE: GD1938 latest (3/9/2014 10:23:37 PM)

Unless you guys want to play with this option. this will be a hard game for you guys as I have a little ATG experience and some experience of GD1938.

Ironduke USA/France/UK/USSR
Twotribes Germany/Italy/Japan
Jonathan China

cpdeyoung -> RE: GD1938 latest (3/9/2014 10:54:57 PM)

I have played quite a bit against the AI, and will be able to play each day, but I have no experience against human players. I enjoy playing, and have AARs in Doomtrader's games, but I may make a weak ally as I get the hang of it.

If you want a reliable player, who may get his behinder stomped, I will join you. I do not know GD1939 at all, but I have sporadically looked at the AARs going on.

Let me know.

Chuck

ironduke1955 -> RE: GD1938 latest (3/9/2014 11:29:47 PM)

Hi Chuck

Great if you can take France/UK/USA

Do you have Dropbox ? if not the turns can be e-mailed to you

Dropbox is a free download secure and easy to use

cpdeyoung -> RE: GD1938 latest (3/9/2014 11:39:33 PM)

@duke,

I do not have a Dropbox account, but I will get to it. My dog says we walk now. So I will be right back.

Chuck

cpdeyoung -> RE: GD1938 latest (3/9/2014 11:45:56 PM)

That was quick.

I will have to download the scenario. So let me get it now. Is the most current iteration on the matrix site or the coder's site?

Chuck

cpdeyoung -> RE: GD1938 latest (3/9/2014 11:52:56 PM)

I got the one from February off Vic's Scenariobank.

Does it require other mods?

I am going to tray an install.

Chuck

Twotribes -> RE: GD1938 latest (3/9/2014 11:59:11 PM)

215 I believe is current. As the allies you are restricted from using diplomacy on anyone till 1939 and then only on Belgium, Netherlands, Poland and Persia.

A note of advice France is short on supplies so either Great Briton or France should consider building a chemical factory for France as reasonably soon as possible.Your supply point in Vietnam can be shipped via transfer from there to the merchant hqs on the Atlantic it has supply trucks to ship it to your main Hqs in Paris. That will keep you going until German U- Boats show up after Poland is invaded in 1939.

Each year on the first turn of the new year new techs become available. As you research stuff the cost can go down over time or because an ally researched it except the strategic stuff. Also you have a limited number of new manpower points each turn. Infantry costs manpower to create. I can not remember what GB or France have as their manpower limits.

It costs 200 PP to create factories.

cpdeyoung -> RE: GD1938 latest (3/10/2014 12:10:04 AM)

@TwoTribes,

I am reading the information supplied. I am impressed with the wide range of victory paths.

We do not live very afar from each other.

Chuck

Twotribes -> RE: GD1938 latest (3/10/2014 12:12:43 AM)

Yes in game you can find the victory conditions listed per country on the graph clickie, just go to brief and victory conditions. Make sure you pick one before you end your first turn as it will randomly pick one if you don't.

cpdeyoung -> RE: GD1938 latest (3/10/2014 12:22:32 AM)

I now have a Dropbox account set up. How do we use it for this game.

Chuck

cpdeyoung -> RE: GD1938 latest (3/10/2014 12:29:04 AM)

I will take GB/USA/FR and am at the start screen. Are we using any optional rules?

When I click Start will I specify which countries I will be taking?

Chuck

ironduke1955 -> RE: GD1938 latest (3/10/2014 12:35:35 AM)

Hi Chuck

The Germany/Italy/Japan/USSR turns have been played

The file in the dropbox is France the next country in the sequence followed by the UK and then USA, China being the last. You play in effect three turns then the file will be deposited back in the Dropbox for china all you have to do is alter the file to read China and the current turn number in this case turn I.

If you send me a e-mail at tmain98560@aol.com I can send the invite to join the Dropbox folder

cpdeyoung -> RE: GD1938 latest (3/10/2014 2:00:37 AM)

Paris, 14 Janvier 1938 : AFP : The Bourse went up over 3% on Thursday the 13th, as The War Ministry announced that current plans are based on no expectation of a war before 1942. A spokesman said that recent diplomatic activity has shown that European nations have new attitudes to solving conflicts of interest. The Ministry says the Nation is prepared, and potential enemies are aware that assaulting our defenses would result in a bloodbath.

Reactions from other nations are expected, but the British and Americans have said they will not rush a response, and it will require at least another day before they can comment.

Till then, Good Night all.

Chuck
