aaatoysandmore -> What would your job have been in the 1500's to 20th century? (3/11/2014 6:28:50 PM)

Continuing on with our conversation about the past and how we could deal with it. Considering what you do for a living now what would you have been back then with hardly any schools or colleges to goto. Of course there were a few but only the elite got to goto them. So, what would you have done? I'd be interested in what Iain and Erik would have done or been. [:D]

Jevhaddah -> RE: What would your job have been in the 1500's to 20th century? (3/11/2014 6:34:02 PM)

Realistically I think my job would be target practice [:(]
I can see no skill I have translating to anything before 1950ish
Unless sarcasm pays, then I'm set [:D]

I just have one other question. Who would have been a janitor back then. [:D] (You ever see the Black Knight?)

TulliusDetritus -> RE: What would your job have been in the 1500's to 20th century? (3/11/2014 7:09:58 PM)

A Condottiero (leader of a band of mercenaries) serving various lords in Central and North Italy seems a lot of fun. But in the end I suspect I would end up as Wolfe's "associate", selling er... those things hanging [:D]

rodney727 -> RE: What would your job have been in the 1500's to 20th century? (3/11/2014 7:10:44 PM)

Lützow -> RE: What would your job have been in the 1500's to 20th century? (3/11/2014 10:43:05 PM)

As they didn't need programmers back then, I had been a lord, spending my time with tournaments and joining campaigns and crusades. Alternatively, if not highborn, a man-at-arms.

Gilmer -> RE: What would your job have been in the 1500's to 20th century? (3/11/2014 10:44:49 PM)

I'd have lied and said I was a son of royalty.

british exil -> RE: What would your job have been in the 1500's to 20th century? (3/11/2014 10:55:10 PM)

I would be doing the same job as I learnt, watchmaker/clockmaker. Without our knowledge Britain would not have ruled the Seas.

Chickenboy -> RE: What would your job have been in the 1500's to 20th century? (3/12/2014 1:55:44 PM)

The 'professional' trades, I reckon. Horse tender, shepherd or other animal husbandry-related profession. Nothing glamorous.

Anguille -> RE: What would your job have been in the 1500's to 20th century? (3/12/2014 2:16:24 PM)

I guess i would have taken over the business of my dad, whatever that is.

Curtis Lemay -> RE: What would your job have been in the 1500's to 20th century? (3/12/2014 2:28:53 PM)

Assuming I made it through child mortality, I probably would have been burned at the stake.

Zap -> RE: What would your job have been in the 1500's to 20th century? (3/12/2014 3:56:26 PM)
