I will definitely buy anything you put out. This series is a classic IMHO. Anything I can do to help support it and assist in it's continuation I will do.

MikeAP, we don't know yet. It depends on some testing we will be doing after we get back from Origins this week and get 2.04 out the door.

Contract some of those artists from Lordz.

Their art team has been building some beautiful virtual worlds:

Here's a thought for you to consider Mike. Artists don't give their work away for free. If we employ, meaning hire for pay, artists the price of the games go up.

Good Hunting.

That's why I said contract.

MikeAP, before we even worry about artists we have to have a working method to bring new art into the current mapping system. Rob and I will be chatting about that and many other items this week at the Con. Once we get a chance to code up and test a couple ideas we will have a better idea if new map art is possible for 2.1. I don't think HexDraw is a good program. Is just so limited with what it can do. Photoshop is just more flexible, and easier to work with.

Mike, You don't have to use Hexdraw to make a map. You can use Photoshop or any program you want to. You can scan maps or hand draw them. That's the flexibility of the map editor. Capn D and MR decided to use Hexdraw when MR started designing maps for his scenarios. Hexdraw just makes the skin for the maps. The actual coding of the map and the hexes is done within the program. The skin you use does not matter. They can be coded either automatically by the program or by hand. Right now the program is limited by the number of colors per hex it can detect to automatically code the map. Rob and Jim are working on expanding the ability of the program to scan and recognize multiple colors in a hex. The question is whether they can complete that in time to use new and expanded artwork for 2.1.

AND Hexdraw has a much lower learning curve than the main line photo editing programs.

Good Hunting.
