Michael T -> Supply and Replacement Settings (6/9/2014 11:40:13 PM)

Does anyone know how the settings work for supply and replacements?

That is, if a units HQ is set to 100% for supply and replacements, what happens if the unit itself is set to 50% for each?

And the reverse situation 50% for the HQ and 100% for the unit itself?

And while I am at it what about retreat settings?

Isokron -> RE: Supply and Replacement Settings (6/10/2014 8:27:55 PM)

They are multiplicative so 50% on both would give 25% etc. Not quite sure how priority factors into it.

@Vic, can you confirm this please?

Michael T -> RE: Supply and Replacement Settings (6/20/2014 5:17:10 AM)

Vic?

If I want a unit to only have 50% replacements how is it done?

Vic -> RE: Supply and Replacement Settings (6/20/2014 6:37:59 AM)

If you set replacements to 50% it means the unit will only start requesting replacements when it dips below 50% of its TOE (ideal composition).

Best,
Vic

But what do I set? If I set the units to 50% and the HQ is at 100% what happens? This is not clear.

mmarquo -> RE: Supply and Replacement Settings (6/20/2014 10:36:23 AM)

I think the HQ will request 100% of what it needs to pass down to the HQs requesting 50%.

Its cumulative effect. Just try it out and you'll see the effect of different %'s in the chain of command. The percentage you see is the actual replacement % for that unit. Use tooltip/right mouse button for more info.

Best wishes,
Vic

I have found the problem. I was not seeing the cumulative effect at all. It does not display with an edited scenario that has hard core supply on.

@Vic, is this just a display problem or are the cumulative effects not working at all? Or worse still are the settings having no effect at all?

Just to confirm. A stock scenario works fine. But a scenario with hard core supply on does not display any cumulative effects.

It works fine. It is not displayed because the units are requesting at their direct HQ and not all at OKH/Stavka like in default rules.

Vic

Ok thanks. So this means just a little mental arithmetic to figure out the effects. [:)]

mmarquo -> RE: Supply and Replacement Settings (6/23/2014 11:49:13 PM)

And Mike, it takes time to see the effect as the number of replacements/turn is a trickle, and if the replacements go to may units the effect is very diluted...

Michael T -> RE: Supply and Replacement Settings (6/24/2014 12:52:58 AM)

I understand that. My aim is to limit supply and replacements to so called quiet sectors of the front :)

mmarquo -> RE: Supply and Replacement Settings (6/24/2014 11:36:04 AM)

Turn down the front hq's percent and the effect trickles down; at least that is my understanding.

Quite strange. That means if all units need supply you can't privileging an unit. I think it's 50% of the supply the unit needs.
If the HQ has a flow of 100% and an unit 50% then the unit will receive 50%. 50% for the HQ and 100% for the unit give the same result.
(sorry... my bad english)

navwarcol -> RE: Supply and Replacement Settings (6/30/2014 3:42:48 PM)

Yes, pretty sure from my own that enael is correct... and whichever one has a higher % does not matter in that sense... 50% * 100% is the same result as 100% * 50%...

However, from my own testing I am thinking that if a HQ is requesting only 50%, it will not have sufficient supplies to pass down to all of its units that are requesting 100%.... I have to test this a bit more, but that is what it seems thus far.
