When it comes to India, I build forts in most bases to 3 before anything else. Some like Calcutta will go to 5 or 6 before AF is expanded. Bombay and Karachi will be a 4 or 5 before being switched. Delhi is the exception. She has her AF expanded to 7 to allow plane upgrades. IMO, an Allied player needs to plan for an invasion from day 1 here.

You expect to see an India invasion?

ny59giants -> RE: NFC East Slapdown: NY59Giants (A) vs Cribtop (J) - Between the Storms (11/3/2014 2:07:21 AM)

No, I don't think that India is going to be invaded. Cribtop was not aggressive enough in Malaya to make that happen (Singapore still holding at end of January). I don't sense that he will go much beyond historical expansion.

As a result, my three strongest Corp now have over 50 experience (full AV). This base has a SL of only 40k and I'm over it myself. How much in extra casualties/disruption and supplies used is Cribtop using for his abuse of this (4x ID, 7x Tank, 20x FA, HQ)??

Kweilin - night bombing on 11th by Lily & Sonia

Philippines:
Manila - Nates escort in over 40 Lily/Sally (weather permitting)
Dadjangas - empty base falls

Borneo:

Sumatra:
Palembang -
10th - 27 Nell visit at night, then Oscars escort in Betty, Lily, Sally hit the AF; 9 Vals sink 2 MLs;
11th - Fearing the fighters from DS, Cribtop heavily escorts in Sally with first 40 and then 33 Zeros.

Java:
Batavia - 16 Zeros face a surprisingly heavy CAP of 3 Sea Hurricanes, 16 Hurricanes (British refugees from Singapore), 27 Buffaloes, and 52 Wildcats (-3 & -3A type) = 3 to 2 Allied; three more sweeps of 23, 23 and 26 bring the total to 35 for Allies to 50 for Japan (across the map). I lose only 8 pilots.

Notes/Plans:
Cribtop wrote that he thought he had ordered his CVs in closer. Thus, I saw just Zero sweeps and nothing more as I ordered my CVs out through Sunda Straits to the IO for maneuvering room and to get away from any of his pesky subs.

Considering what happened, I'm happy with how well my old, obsolete aircraft did against his Zeros.

I've soaked up 425 Chinese rifle squads to date. Supplies are staying between 15k and 20k at Chungking.

Both of us are our own worst critics. For me, I hope to delay the conquest of northern Australia and give me a better jumping off point later in the war.

ny59giants -> RE: NFC East Slapdown: NY59Giants (A) vs Cribtop (J) - Between the Storms (1/4/2015 1:48:57 PM)

March '42 - Mr Cribtop has lots of places that need to be invaded and captured this month - Java, Tarakan, Balikpapan, Koepang, northern Australia, Horn Island, and maybe some others. Thus, Allied HQ will keep the DS operating from Perth and try to intervene. I have the AF1 now at Port Headland to allow fighter transfer between Australia and Java. Brit BFs are retreating to Oosthaven for hopeful transport back to Batavia. Remember that Dutch get some better airframes in March. IMO, this 'could' be an interesting month in the SRA area.
