TAIL_GUNNER -> Ship withdrawal bug or AI exploit? (7/22/2014 11:15:26 PM)

Playing Japan vs Allied AI, Andy Mac's modified Scenario 1...patch is one before the current beta.

Anyway, my troops are at the gates of Singapore, and most bombers have been bombing about 30 ships holed up in Singapore's port....one of which is BC Repulse.

Several turns ago, noticed the count of ships in harbor was now about 10...Repulse was gone.
Opened current AI turn, and found her in Aden(!) repair yard giving us the finger..

Sorry for noob questions....still relearning the ropes.

Almost certainly not a bug.

The AI is given the capacity to teleport ships from a port to another port in order to meet it's strategic goals as outlined in the particular script it is following.

An AI exploit then....thanks for confirming.

I don't like it, but fully understand the need for such shortcuts in such a complex game.

Thanks again.
